First time at the track with the PPG Dogbox trans installed, first time at the track with the BatMo40 on the car. Dave literally installed the turbo and loaded the car on the trailer- no tune, no street pull, nothing. We had no idea what to expect.

A low-50* outside air temp and horrible track prep meant traction was nonexistent for everyone (not just Dave), so no 9-second pass yet...but Dave took my advice to turn off antilag and do a 6000rpm launch limit while slipping the clutch for the last pass of the night and the result was astounding.

The first run of the night was to just get a feel of what the car was going to do AFR-wise and such with the new turbo and trans. He got on it through second and stayed into it hard, trapped just over 146....already faster than any previous run. The next good run resulted in a 148mph trap, and then the final run was the magic number.

Some more info- he's out of fuel, without a doubt. Injector duty was 98%. Boost was in the 37-38psi range, the highest airflow I saw logged on the first run was 72.5 lb/min but the laptop battery was low and he didn't want to review any more runs at the track in an attempt to save battery power to log with. I'm sure he'll respond to this thread with any reports of higher airflow numbers and of course video of the runs once it's edited.

The new compressor wheel is definitely badass....72.5 lb/min out of a 60mm/86mm compressor at 37-38psi is quite impressive to say the least with no sign of being strung out.

Congrats to Dave for raising the bar once again, and special thanks to Bullseye Power for helping to make an already-awesome turbocharger even better. :thumb:

Impressive. I messaged BEP about this compressor wheel myself. I might switch over this winter.

it. was. incredible!!!

(and i got my best time to date, wooo!)

Dave was saying, something slowing him down...was shifting. He was having trouble breaking the habit of shifting. Shifting the Dogbox slows you down i guess, LOL

Actually he mentioned that he was having a tough time breaking the habit of using the clutch at first. That wasn't really what was slowing down the ET's, though- it was the bogged launches and spinning out of the hole thanks to the cool air temps and slick track conditions. Once this car gets moving it's literally unstoppable.

Do they have anything for the 56mm / 83mm HX35?
I don't look for any upgrade wheels to become available for the HX35 seeing as the 7-blade 54mm wheel nearly maxes out the turbine wheel's flow depending on housing choice. I may be proven wrong, however.

God I would say terrible track conditions and inability to launch hard. 1.90 60ft and still run 10.25

The weak launches and spinning is keeping that MPH high it should go down when the car actually leaves...

Whens the next track visit with a 9sec pass already!! this looks like a honda-tech thread with 10s@145+

Did you get any video?

Hey, I can't help track prep, plus evertime I go to the track something is different on my car! The new clutch was definitely something to get use to!
I am not proud of my 60fts this year, I suck!!!..LOL
I have no clue when the car will make it the track again, but we will see.

I will have videos up tomorrow, no incar vids, I forgot to charge the incar cam.
Thanks to everyone that has supported me!

I've been looking at the "trap speeds vs. turbos used" for the last little bit on both this site's registered timeslip info and those registered on DSMTimes.org, and of the turbos listed which aren't described as "secret" or by brand name alone I honestly don't see where anyone has gone 151mph with a 60mm turbo. In fact there are plenty of T4-footprint turbo users who have trapped slower but have quicker ET's (at this moment).

Off-the-shelf 35R's have a 61mm inducer....close, but still larger. Obviously we can't account for those who are unregistered, but is it possible that Dave could be the only smaller-than-61mm compressor user to trap 151mph? :sneaky:

The crazy thing is, there is more still in the turbo! Once I get bigger injectors, we might see 155-160mph traps next year with this little sucker!!!

Also I was looking over my log, and it loged a high of 73.4 lbs/min and at 99.8% inj duty....thats scary! Might have to turn up the base pressure to 48psi and see what it does on the next outing!

Can't believe the 1200 are still alive LOL. What fuel pressure are you at?

Base pressure is 43lbs...LOL I took these things pretty far, I'm impressed with them!
