Yeah, those were my original choice, but got a good deal on a map rod, and 10:5-1 hd piston combo!

Very nice time for a budget turbo. The HX40 has a really fast recovery time base on the in car video. I like the gear ratio too. It stays in the power band the whole time for the HX40.

Seems to be doing well, stronger then rear axles sofar . I was gonna do better rear axles, but the new engine build is gonna set that back a little.

Just some updates- a new engine went in just before the Shootout....literally started the first time when the car went on the trailer to go to Ohio. We're still in break-in stage as we want the motor to last, so the boost is at 18psi for now.

Last night the car went four more trips down the track with a best E.T. of 10.50 and a best trap speed of 133.9....and the turbo's not even breaking a sweat. You can barely even hear it when he takes off.

In addition, this was done with a 1.7 60ft as Dave wasn't trying to break driveline parts while breaking the engine in. Had he cut a 1.5 60ft, this would've been an easy 10.30 pass on just 18psi.

Looking for big things from the new engine later this season and beyond.

Cast 60mm 6-blade with a chip out of one of the blades- same turbo that's been on the car for the past three years aside from three or four passes at the end of '11 with the BatMoWheel turbo.

We say 18psi just for reference...I believe the MAP is actually logging 17.8.

their is nothing to fix, you think I have a drag car with bad brakes? Its the type of pads that are with my wilwood drag kit.
