A little scary on the street when we are tuning, but awesome at the track!Car's a '93; it never had 3-bolt axle cups.I'm surprised the t-case broke before the 3 bolt!! WTF
I knew that, I guess I just automatically assumed he was running a 3 bolt since he was worried about breaking the rear. The stock coil packs should definatly take you into the 9s. My car made close to 650hp last year on the stock coils, a buddy of mine made 706 meth/36psi, and I know the dogbox racing boys went 9.0@160 with the stock coil packs and a 120ish shot on top with 35ish psi.
Straight cut dog ring engagement transmissions are completely streetable. Ive driven dogbox racings helical faceplated dogring engagement trans all the time, my buddy with a mustang daily drove his pro shifted dog engagement trans. Its very old technoligy since manually shifted big rigs and dump trucks use them still. If they had syncros they wouldnt last 300+ thousand miles like they do.
Get that car into the 9s!!!!
...
I'm going hx40. I can't freaking wait!!
My housing is getting coated as we type, and I'm gathering up parts for intake and LICP.
It was nice you meet you Dave and sorry to hear about the bad news. The car looks great and sounds amazing!

Definitely nice meeting you too man, and thanks! Nice meeting everyone else too..
Calan, lofty, mrpeepers, mrboxx, 99gst-racer, and anyone else i'm, missing nice meeting you!!! Had a blast
Regarding the car, it weighs 2660lbs with out me in it... Don't know what happen to the trans at the shootout, just would not go into 2nd gear, and then ended up popping out of 2nd gear when putting it in. So then loaded it up, so I wouldn't do further damage to the trans!

Yeah, let me know. I might run mine too.
I think that would be pretty badass- I never got to walk over and check out the Auto-X course. It might be difficult to beat some of the better Auto-X drivers, but they may not have any drag racing experience....not sure how the crossover is scored.I kind of want to run the autox/drag at the shootout next year.
