The most disappointing thing that happened at the end of the night was the A-hole that thought it would be funny to throw a Smironoff vodka bottle out the 3rd floor hallway window onto a beautiful white 1G AWD below from Conneticut, blowing out his rear hatch glass and sending glass everywhere. We called the police and they didn't do much since it was vandalism; pretty much car insurance policy stuff.

On top of this, I personally cleaned up all the garbage and bottles left out by people in the parking lot on Friday and Saturday nights. I thought people had enough common sense to clean up after themselves.

I can't believe someone did that! I would tear my foot off in someone's drunk as s if i saw them do that to my car. The freakin nerve and lack of respect never ceases to amaze me.

I may have left a beer car or two or three on Dave's trailer as i was pitching in with the clutch swap, but other than that, all of my buddies trash made it's way in to the bed of my truck. Made it a lot easier to clean up when it was time to roll out.

Dave, watching that video really makes me want to get slicks. Your car leaves so hard. I used to be able to shift my trans that fast in my old car, i REALLY need to get my fourth gear figured out. I'm sure your more annoyed at running super low tens and not nines than the broken axle. I plan on going to English town for the show down even though last year sucked, it would really be cool if you raced, but i know they are strict on tech and your car doesn't have any monkey bars in it yet.

Sounds like we are on the same boat. I'm still running the old school Dejon's "race" FMIC kit. It has been holding up well and efficient up to around 600-650awhp. I think it will help us dip into the 9s with a more efficient intercooler.

Anyone get their videos edited yet? I realy want to see my car at the shootout!!!

Also wanted to let you guys know, I now have a shep PPG dogbox in the car!!! Just picked it up yesterday along with a new ptt twindisc! Cant wait to go to the track and try it out!

All I have to say about a shep dogbox is.......Holy f--ing shit that is bad ass!!!!!
Just amazing...If you guys ever get a chance to drive a car with a shep dogbox, freaking do it, you'll fall in love!

Its the only time I have spent money on my car, and got a smile from it!
Man was the money worth it!

Vids and 9s please.

I will be going to the track in two weeks, and will have the new Batmowheel on the car... I have to get some testing and feadback for Bullseye! I really think we will see a 9 on the next outing, too bad couldnt do it with the stock compresor, but I cant make Bullseye wait any longer!

You work that shifter like it's headed towards the face of a man that's been sleeping iwht your wife LOL (best i could come up with but talk about shifting with FORCE!)

also, i LOVE your launches, the front lifts in a linear fashion with the spool of the turbo and it all juist seems poetically fluent.. great driving, great car and great support staff.. You guys are really out there doing a number for DSM's and Holsets (sorry don't know everyone's name but you, justin, etc..)

Thanks man, Means alot to me to have people behind me/us!!!

I've ridden in a car with a dogbox and it was pretty nice being able to shift where ever he wanted and how he wanted. Thought bought doing one with my build but hard to fork out that kind of money.

Dave, how did you mount your gauges under the vent? What size are the gauges you are using as well? I want to do that once I put my dash back in. PM me if you like instead of cluttering up your thread.

how is the dogbox to drive on the street? I'm on the verge of send a gear set off to be face plated.

Its very streetable, just have to shift a little faster then you normaly would..

I learned alot from this video....

Dave,

This is just awesome. I am truley happy for you and am pretty excited myself to see you clip the 9. I too thought these were only intended for the track, but after seeing this video:hmm:..... All I can say is wish I had a credit card and god bless my stage 4. LOL

Anyway..Go out and show those Bullseye boys what your made of.

MY GUESS- 9.87 @ 146

PPG says there units are streetable. However Dogbox Racing in jersey says there dogmissions are not intended for street use and after 800 miles will need a rebuild. Maybethey are not using the same materials to make the gear sets out of? PPG has there dsm gear set listed at over 6k. Dogbox has theres for 2800... I still dont know how streetable they are. with my luck and it being a dsm its the dsms that aren't streetable while everyone else is. I daily drive my car 12k a year so I still dont think it would work for me.

GOOD LUCK ON the 9's. I thinkl this means someone will have to step up with a hx35 and click off a 10.

It is my understanding that Dogbox racing's dogbox is a stock helical gearset with dog faces welded onto them in place of the syncros to allow for quicker shifting... They are not a redesigned gearset like PPG's and are no "stronger' Than a stock gearset as thats essentially what they are..

Theres also several hx35's in the 10's??? an FWD or 2 even... ?!?!

You know it;)

I'll be going for that MPH on the hx40 though in the next few weeks. I trapped 138 with the hx35 so I think I should be in the 140s with the 40. We'll see. 9's are out of the question for my FWD though LOL.

Good luck Dave! I'm looking forward to the results from the new wheel. I saw you made the homepage but after the dogbox I wouldn't call this much of a budget build anymore.

Wow I need to catch up. Feel like an idiot now. How long have the hx 35s been in the tens? and why are my goals only an 11.49 just so I can be told I need a cage. OMG What am I doing wrong? :ohdamn:

I call a 9.75 @ 151 with a 1.41 60'
Me likey your 60ft!

GOOD LUCK ON the 9's. I thinkl this means someone will have to step up with a hx35 and click off a 10.
Current HX35 record ET is 10.71, and MPH is 138-something.

Not to spoil the HX35 user's fun, but the last time Dave was at the track, a boost leak was only netting him 58 lb/min in 4th gear....well within the realm of what a HX35 can generate. After the dust settles with the Batmowheel turbo, look for a low-10's pass from a HX35 in the .70 T3 BEP housing. ;)

Dave caqn have the record. I'll be happy saying that I got to met a record holder for the turbo Im using and the bigger turbo I wish I had room for. LOL what is the record for .55 dsm housing?

what is the record for .55 dsm housing?

My bet is slow ;-) (Slow being a relative term vs a .70 AR BEP or better yet a stock 12cm Twin Scroll)

The .55 DSM housing really seems to choke any HX35 i've ever seen...I'm doubting anybody is faster than 11.50s with that and thats being generous (at least w/ my experience on them) ..The HX40's perform significantly better than the HX35 in the .55 AR housing...but they are really apples and oranges in terms of exhaust flow potential.
