Possibly the last run of the season for me at Pittsburgh Raceway Park; very first pass of the day I ran a 10.14 @ 138.25!

Car was breaking up through third and fourth gears like crazy. The very next pass I broke the left rear axle so this was my best run of the day; 9's yet to come for sure! Videos to follow shortly.

Gabe (4g63awdhonda) also ran his best ever pass of 11.14 @ 133 with a full-weight 2G on street tires running 33psi on 93 pump gas with a JusMX141 Holset HY35 and Turbonetics manifold. Congrats to Gabe as well!

This makes Gabe's car the current leader of any HX35-powered DSM, being that the HY35 uses the 7-blade HX35 compressor with a smaller turbine wheel and open 9cm T3 turbine housing.

The best part about Gabe's accomplishment was he ran his time with the ground strap broken completely off of the spark plug in the #1 cylinder!

I can't wait until next year!

Nice to see a Holset owner really pushing his car at the track. Always seems as though most Holset owners only talk about dyno numbers and then they blow up for whatever reason. Great numbers!

You all should bring your cars to MIR This weekend coming up.Its gonna be a great turnout and i beleive Shep is coming with the talon

Shep confirmed on the Link boards that he will NOT be making the MIR event this coming weekend. Said he didn't have the wheel/tire combo he wanted yet and that he didn't have enough testing on the new chassis to try and qualify for a 7-second field.

Congrats Dave! That is moving! I am looking forward to watching it go 9's!

Here's the video of my 10.14@138

Thats a 600whp trap speed on that hy35. That is unbelievable. What does the timing curve look like at that boost level?

I have no clue, I have never looked at any of his logs. Maybe he will chime in and give a little info!

Looking at your two time slips, Gabe is making close to the same power as you, ON PUMP GAS. Thats nuts, especially with that 9cm exhaust side. Guess I need an intake and bigger cams, that extra 1800 rpm of power helps a bunch!

That and a fully ported head really helps out! I need to get me one for next year, i'm still on a stock 1g 7bolt head!

Congrats Dave, too bad you broke an axle. I see a 9 sec pass next year for sure with that MPH

Gabe's car picked up 31mph up top, that car is moving even with the blown out spark on #1 cylinder!

Good job guys!:thumb: Can't wait to run my hx40 at the track

Here's the video of every one that went yesterday! The run of me, is when I broke the rear axle!
The green 1g mods are- completely stock 7bolt motor with, 780cc injectors, 255 pump, dsmlink v3, fmic, hx35 with a bep t3 .70ar housing, and 3" exhaust!

^ TSiTuner23's white Talon in that video is completely stock aside from a 3" catback and a K&N FIPK. That's a T25 with a stock downpipe and cat on that car, he's even running the stock boost control solenoid. He eventually ran a 14.87, which I didn't think was bad for a basically-stock FWD TSi.

Wow, once again you're pushing me towards holsets. I hope to have a holset powered car for this next race season, might be a 1g...might be a v8 car with some holsets on it..haha. We shall see! Congrats on the time, 9's shouldn't be a problem next year!

No one has gone 10s with the HX35 yet?

Not yet, or at least no one has reported it! Gabe is supposed to take the car, to the track again in two weeks, and see if it will click off a 10!

I am getting ready to bolt on the HX35 on my 1G, My supporting mods, are: 1000cc INJ,Wally 255, GMMAS w/translator, Stock bottom END, New head ported but stock for the most part, Cyclone intake, FMIC, MBC, tublar exhaust header, EVO 8 ECU w/Tephra ROM so i have Launch and other details.. I hope with Sticky tires to go 10.9. If I can get an Awesome Launch and as long as I dont get any detination at high boost and an aggressive timing curve I just might make it, But it is a real stretch.. I am leaving the full interior in the car too. I want to do it on as close to stock car as possible. We are getting in to a couple months of good temps hear in Tampa, FL. Its been nothing but heat soak 90's but next week we should get some 70's. Hope it stays that way for a bit...

You should look into E85 so you can run 30+ lbs.

FWIW that is a stock 7 bolt 1g head...I Think if it were even a stock 7 bolt 2g head you may have done better ;-) ...

Your right I will probably only hit that number if I run E85, But I wanted to do it on 93. I wanted to try to put it in the 10's with the 35 and stock block. on pump I am only going to be at 24lbs, I will see if I can squeeze a few more psi out of it but I doubt it. Looking at my current logs I am only guessing but 24PSI loos to be about all I will get. So tuning the lower end torque on the cyclone will be critical for the low end and getting it to power. Stock cam height will hold me back on trap speed. I will have to set shift points at 7200 :(

Wouldn't that hold him back with less flow from the smaller 2g ports? A nicely ported 1G head with a big mag intake mani is the ticket! Crazy doing that with a damaged plug. He would probable have taken one or 2 tenths off his time with the same run and a normally operating plug.

Impressive!!! Both of you!
Holset FTW!!!!

Thanks man, I really want that 9s pass, so i'm putting a better AFPR in my car and turning up the boost. Going back to the track in two weeks, to try and get that single digit pass!!!
