Myabe I missed it but where is your boost level on those runs?

Myabe I missed it but where is your boost level on those runs?

My boost was only at 33psi, on my first pass. I turned it up for the second pass, and broke the axle! So didn't get find out what it would do. But after looking at my logs, it was running real lean from 7000rpms and up, so its a good thing it broke or it might have did some damage with the uped boost level...

[QUOTEThe best part about Gabe's accomplishment was he ran his time with the ground strap broken completely off of the spark plug in the #1 cylinder!

Click the "go advanced" tab at the bottom of the reply box.

Once you get to the next page, there is a box in the "additional options" column that says "upload / edit photos". Click that, then search for the file on your computer....upload it, and it will be attached to the thread when you complete your response.

Sweet i appreciate it im on v3 also, i haven't raced at the track, still a 1990 tranny and 3bolt LOL! but i might test my luck on street tires. ( 3 bolt record?)as of now its a mid to low 130 car judging by the cars i have beaten :X street race sorry.

im curious how your log looks my mods:

pistons/ rods 8.5.1 6bolt
2g head delta 272s evo valvetrain
evo3 intake manifold
ebay turbo manifold/7blade hx40
29-30lbs.
1600s/255 in-tank - 044 inline [stock lines] seems to be out of fuel already a bit strange.
stock ignition

Well the logs are not going to happen, sorry! the logs are not on my laptop, i have no clue what happen to them, there just not there!:ohdamn:

Great stuff guys... I cant wait to start on my project 1g this winter. I had to buy something to have fun with since I sold the Evo. I got some big plans so I guess well see what happens this coming year. Congrats Fellas

That tells me the tune looks like shit and he does not want people to see it.
Not necessarily- some people are just that way about sharing their tuning tips. Ask Nate Silveri to share any of his logs publicly and you'll get a similar response.

Unless something hit it, electordes don't break off... they melt of! Good times though. I'd have a good long look at that tune before doing it again!

If these tuning tips result in melting spark plug electrodes, he can keep them!

Look, I'm not trying to make anybody look bad here...obviously Gabe is doing something right to take a $200 Cummins diesel turbo that nobody had the faith to try and make it power a DSM to a 133.5mph trap speed on 93 octane pump fuel. This isn't some lightened race car....it's his daily driver- he's literally going to drive it all winter. The car has the full interior, the hatch was full of parts and tools and the spare tire was still in the car.

The bottom line is if you want to ask him about his tune, send him a PM or an email....don't make assumptions. It just seems rude to me that because of one melted plug people are assuming Gabe doesn't know how to tune. Maybe he was a little lean or had too much timing and that is going to be corrected for the next run. Basically it's like me assuming that someone can't drive based on the fact that their car dynoed 658whp but they only ran a 12.05 at the track.

The question was why he didn't want to post a log, and the assertion is that it was likely because there was either knock or a disabled knock sensor leading to the resultant spark plug image. I don't understand what the problem is here--if this is not true, then why doesn't this person respond himself? Instead, why does someone with your position feel the need to do this for him?

Ok, i just got off the phone with Gabe, and he said he never got a log from that day! He said his laptop was freezing up, so he said screw it, and just ran the car!!!
