Last Friday Went to the Midnight drags at Rocky Mountain raceway. Trailered the car 100 miles there but was totally worth it. Straight off the trailer I ran an 11.95 @ 116 realized my injector duty cycles were high. Turned it down a bit and ran a couple of low 12's.

Care to share some info on the tune such as boost, timing, type of fuel?
Pretty good for missing a shift, too!

Nice!! I need to get a in cab cam I think they are awesome.

Boost was at 23 psi, stock timing map hitting 21 degrees in certain spots, richened up a bit 4k up, e 85 55psi fuel pressure.

That's pretty good for 23psi and the driving errors:p I'd be happy with that also knowing there is room for better times!
Thinking about the cranking up the hx40 some?

That is pretty good right off the trailer. I can't believe they don't make you wear a helmet.

I have to have a helmet and fire jacket and a roll bar just for that time at my local track.
Kind of stupid to worry about getting kicked out with a 16g, seems like your track is more lenient.
What holset hx40 do you have btw.

My duty cycles were upwards of 110% haha. I turned it down when i ran the 12's. Anyways I am going to get bigger injectors and turn it up to 32 psi and see if I can trap 130+ with the stock bottom end.

The 40 is an 8 blade off an 8.3l volvo.

23psi? That thing should... no, wait... DESERVES to be at 35+ psi without any question. At a minimum, you owe your car that much boost.

^After I posted I see you plan on turning it up. Just remember that 32psi is not a limit, but more of a goal. And that once you achieve that goal, you'll want more.

Nice times, but man does that turbo have more in it. I saw the post and thought hmm, those are more like HX-35 times, but then read how low boost you were, 60' bogged a litttle and missed that gear. Wow, Boost+ good launch+ good shifting = low 11's with bigger injectors. Oh and yeah that truck was movin! What a great starting point! 11's fresh off the trailer. Great job.

You mean more like e316g times ;)

Can we get some more details of your setup. I am really close to switching my HX35 for a HX40 everything I am seeing says they spool the same but the 40 has a lot more top end.
GOod run, can't wait to see more on real boost.

GREAT time for a first time at the track with the car!

The next guy I see get an e3 16g into the 11s after the first 2 passes gets a LOLlie pop from me. An 11 second e3 16g car is a big deal.

Where are you seeing that?

I agree. I'm sure the altitude is hurting him quite a bit also. It's probably at least a mile high at that track.

11's right off the bat with all those factors is pretty good!
