Weird.... my 8 blade 35 has a 6 bolt turbine flange and is only oil cooled. Was told it came from an automatic. i guess holset couldn't make up there mind on what to do.

The hx40s have 6bolt holes in the turbine housing. . . Well mine does LOL.

There were a few hx35s with the 6bolt pattern from industrial equipment. Water cooled and they were later models (1999/2000 or later):

All hx35s fit the hx35 bep housing. I was wondering if you had the rare 54mm compressor inducer 8blade hx35. . . Which flows less than the 56mm 8blade hx35. . . But you have a vband compressor outlet so you're ok :)

DAMN!!!!! you scared me for a second, DON"T DO THAT!!!!!

Just a quick question for a tubular exhaust manifold repair. Mine has 1-2 cracks in the piping down by the flange were it meets the turbo. Would it be wise to weld it from the inside or stritctly from the outside?

I'm sorry if this has already been posted somewhere in the holset threads but I searched and didn't find anything. I can seem to get the oil feed banjo bolt to thread back into the turbine housing on my hx40 pro since I removed it. It seems to be just a hair too short to thread into the oil feed inlet with the two paper thin washers on top and bottom but without them it leaks. I guess I'm just gonna buy a new one but no one locally has one. What size and thread banjo bolt do I need? Anyone have a link where I can buy one for a decent price?

Yeah but that was only 35psi. At 45 psi my goal thing may have put down 800whp OMG

Thats a FWD car though... AWD numbers will be MUCH lower than that..

Here's his dyno:

It varys obvously but fwd powertrain loss is usually around 10-15% vs 20-25% worse case for awd. So even with that said your looking at a 15% MAX difference which in this case would put the car between 606-615whp worse case. That is just at 35psi. Like I said with 45psi my goal would put this thing up around 800fwhp and 700awhp. This is all assuming that this car is maxed out as well and given worse case drivetrain % loss.

I would like to see his logs to see how much air he was flowing cause I would bet it has more left in it.

Damnit it with all this HX52 Talk.. Where are the 55s..

I was more or less wondering if the gains between the larger wheel of the 55 migh coincide with the gains found between s374 and the s475. Albeit the 52s numbers are closer to the 372/371 it would still be cool if there was yet another option.

The 55's are T6 from what I have seen and are not even that much bigger than the 52's. Not worth it in my opinion but hey different strokes.

Idk but when you find out let me know LOL. 4-5mm bigger wouldn't hurt. They probably cost a considerable amount more unless you find one hiding with regular ones and the seller doesn't know the difference.

I'd like to find a shop that could do the upgrade. Even if the upgrade is $400-700, thats still under $1300 for a 110+ lb/min capable turbo.
