I've never heard of dog cut gears. That must be a pretty beastly dog they have there at dogbox racing. :thumb::thumb:

How much does it add to the tab to get those straight cut gears?

James :laser::talon:

I will be running my pro40 on the d50 with a built th350 trans/stall converter so we shall see how that goes. I will definatly have to do something about the open diff in the rear.

ROFL LOL my bad I meant straight cut gears from dogbox racing. It's about $3k

I had to chuckle a little bit at that one. Ha. 3k for the hole tranny or 3k added on? I know that the shep dogbox is over 4 and magnus is more than that.

James :laser::talon:

3k for the whole thing and all you supply is a good core to convert.

Thats not bad really. Too bad im not building a track whore. I want my car to be a DD street car and i hear the dogbox's have to be rebuilt frequently. And hard to drive on the street.

The not street friendly I have heard but the constant rebuild that's def not true. Then again most people using them are big wigs and might do it to be safe or because they make so much power they still break them but I highly doubt it.

I'm shooting for low, low 10s. I've also got a direct port kit that I'll be playing with so I don't see where 9s would be an issue. I've actually over built so I'll have room to grow. I'll be toying with the idea of a dogbox as well. My car is a DD.

Yeah I want a street car that will do 9's but I don't want a track only car.

Good luck to you guys!!!
The only thing in my opinion, that really helps and some of you may not have it yet is TWIN DISK clutch. Look around, follow the results and you'll see. Besides "real" dog box, twin disk is the only thing alot of guys have in common, besides difference in set-ups, boost, weight,etc.

I'll be running the Quartermaster setup when she fires up in a few weeks. :rocks:

I"ll be STRAIGHT CUT GEARS ROFL and PTT twin disk so i'll have both of those things. Better safe than sorry :thumb:

The ones from the bolt-on are not going to fit on the T3 housing. So either order some from Nick, or just use4 bolts and some nice wider washers.

They contacted me and said they fergot to ship them with my housing so they sent them out for me today. Very nice people.

Can anybody tell me where to get an adapters to make a return line with? I know I need a garrett t4 style for the turbo, and obviously a mitsu for the pan. I just can't seem to find them anywhere.

Fwd shooting for 10's here.....Car should fire around march and we will go from there.....

Most of the mods in my profile .....a second walboro pump, manly springs and retainers, ecmlink, and a fp intake will be added....

I have a spare 6 bolt that will get built when either A). Tranny blows and I pull everything for all out build. or B)7 bolt decided to crap on me.....

We will see....

I wish I could say that I'm gonna get a 10-second timeslip in '09, but I'm just hoping for a low-11 second slip (hopefully obtainable). Good luck to all you guys! Be sure to get some vids.

Are you putting the second pump in the tank or inline? I want to run two pumps and a couple vendors sell them but they are so damn expensive.

Just a walbro inline 255....Ive got a intank 255 rewired but Im afraid with E-85 and the boost im wanting to run, Im gonna need the second pump for extra insurance....I may also be switching my 1000cc to 1600cc's.....

ExtrememPSI sells a walbro 255 inline for $119 and since Im running -6an fuel lines, I have to buy the -6an fittings which are $8.....So $127 total for the inline pump because I have already run the -6an lines....I figure its worth it just to have that extra insurance.....Everything I have ever heard or read was that if you run two pumps(1 intank and 1 inline) the pumps need to be the same size....

-Kevin-

HX-40 on E-85 and 25psi matched with 21 degree's of timing advance = blown head gasket. I'm down and out for a few months. I'll be back in the late spring :)
