Any trick to getting the snap ring out? I tried prying it, but didn't want to scratch the cover up.

Also has anyone had any luck finding a V-Band flange that fits the compressor outlet? From my measurements it seems to be an oddball size.

Its kind of a weird angle and bigger than I need. Maybe if I could find a silicone 30 degree elbow it would work. Its kind goofy having the stock elbow expand to 3" and then having to reduce it to 2.5" for my IC piping. I rather have the same size hard pipe the whole way.

Good call. I am doing my install next weekend. I plan to use a 2.5in 90 degree silicone coupler off the turbo. I am sure that is what most people do.

Can anyone tell me what size turbine housing this is. It's off my hx40w, I'm using the bullseye housing know but I might end up using this housing later on.

It will be stamped in the inlet somewhere, clean off some of the carbon and it will be stamped. Looks like either 16 or 18 cm2.

So you mean by the t3 flange when you said inlet or where the turbine goes into.

Which holset hc1, hx35/40 etc is better, Cheaper, more reliable/designed so that shaft breakage is not an issue, noticeable wear? Also how to tell if one needs work done, or tell tale signs its no good?

Is anybody running a 21cm^2 housing on a h1c? I just got a chance to look at mine and that is the housing it has on it. I have a feeling I wont be happy but I hae to run what I got at the moment. I will let you guys know how it goes whe I get her done in a few days.

Yah i mean on the t-3 inlet. It will be stamped, it will just have the number. It wont say 16cm2, just (16)

This link doesn't work no more. I found it when I Googled Holset. They had most of the Holset selection I've ever seen. They are somewhere in Brazil. Very nice people. I sent them couple of e-mails and they replied within a few days. Just try and Google Holset again. It may show up with a different name or something. Also they had a lot of part #'s listed on their site. I believe that I even sent a link to DSM-onster/Matt, may be he keeps something on his computer. It is worth a try.

Well, played with the car a bit today. 249fwhp at 17psi. The car was breaking up pretty bad up top so I ordered some colder plugs. Once I get the hang of this tuning thing, I'll strap her back down and shoot for 400 give or take 15hp.

Ok guys I just can't find the size for my housing. I've scraped off loads of carbon and all I can find is the letter "E". I'm guessing its not where I'm looking at, around the t3 flange. Can someone post a pic to show me where its stamped on there housing.

My 18.5cm^2 turbine housing from my h1c is on the left. You can clearly see the "18.5 CM" after the word "HOLSET". And you can see where it is in relation the turbine inlet. The "19 CM" is in the identical location on my h1e, too. Unless Holset changed the location in later years, this should help.

Dude what's taking you so long to switch the turbine housings? get rid of that Bp hosing and put on the 18.5 cm housing,pleez!:G

It's only thicker in height. But man,you can see how the Holset housing just dwarfs the Bep .55AR housing. Rumor has it that the 18.5 cm housing is about a 90+ divided AR housing.

I will be testing my 18.5 and my 16cm against each other once I get my divided mani! Oh and Buschur Racing Large Race FMIC.

Mine has a t3 flange. You'rs looks like a 14CM or a 16CM turbine housing.
