I am not sure, we will have to have a non-turbo member chime in on that one. Sorry. @VelocitàPaola , do you happen to know anything about the 420a transmission?

No problem ever. My 62mm comes in about 4400 so I consider it laggy also. I will need to add a bit of NOS to come out of the hole but after that, she is one bad bi***, not to be takin lightly. I will keep looking for some similar builds that you...

Make sure it's being fed correctly and has ample drainage. These turbos need very little oil pressure / volume to survive...a head feed with a .035" restrictor in the line is adequate. Steer clear of 10AN drains if you can avoid them, although...

The TPS is a classic adjustable resistor (potentiometer) used as a voltage divider. One end of it is connected to ground and the other end to a voltage source, in this case roughly 5v from the green/red wire on ECU pin 23 (+5v Sensor Power). The...

Stick around young Padawan, you'll get plenty of chances to see the broader range of behavior specific to the beast. If you're in a hurry there are many examples available using the force (search). :)

Give that a try man!!!! Thanks L! I wish I could help more but I'm the 1g Turbo guy. The guys that are helping are about the best we have here and they are all trustworthy. Just so you know. Good luck for sure!!!

Check the ecl-4 fuse or fuses. I believe it has something to do with automatic transmissions.
    • 1990TSIAWDTALON
Well if the bottom end is built, and it has to be since its a stroker, it will handle a few more revs, you're just being safe. I don't blame you one bit! :thumb: If its running out of revs, what cams are we working with?
    • 1990TSIAWDTALON
Nah, we rip little bitty 2.0's so we can run them out to 9200.....no need for 4th ROFL :p Says the man who's car hasn't ran in almost a year. Honestly, I think you will need to run it a little further in each gear to get you to the end if possible.

Closing the loop here for future searchers. The Extra Green wire on the 90 harness is for the Idle Position Switch on the back of the Throttle Body.

Wholesaler Closeout parts are our "clearance rack." The parts were acquired at discounted prices from companies liquidating inventory (because they were overstocked, decided to carry a different brand, went out of business, etc.) and are new...

I don't have my 1990 Factory Service Manuals handy so the best I can offer is from the 91 versions which is different in the type of parts but the same in process. If I recall correctly a 14 fault code can be from the TPS or the IPS. I'll have to...

My 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I just put a new battery in her since I replaced the airbags and SRS module. Anyhow, the SRS light. Does that go off with the key on or after I crank the motor? I ask because I cant start the motor because I still need...

Did you replace the hoses also? Define "hot" brakes. Like glowing? I have seen firsthand brake lines that deteriorated and acted like a check valve. You could apply brakes easily but they didn't let off easily. Acted like brakes were stuck but...
