my hx-40 on the 2.3 has full boost a couple hundred rpms shy of 4,000 maybe like 3600 or 3800 or so.

The joys of that extra .3 liters

Loved your vids by the way to bad they got taken down just post some at the track!

Andy you hit it right on the nose.

Pretty much went thru my little checklist when the car runs like ass and found the adjustable arm was pretty damn loose tightened it up and it was like a new car.

I have a log too of course my laptop ran out once it came time for the WoT stuff.

So far not bad still a bit laggy for my taste, but still tuning it pulls forever though and i hated that the 16G didn't.

log should be attached and andy thx for the suggestions.

looks like your pulling timeing due to knock in the 4000 rpm range also in the 6000 + You should try adding some fuel in to clean that up.you could also work onn your ltft's there not terriable but if you get them a little closer together it might help a little bit with your spool. also i have the same turbo "bullseye bolt on housing" Im hitting around 3800 rpm. one thing i noticed though the diff between 20psi and 25pis is amazing this turbo dosen't really even "wake up" untill about 23psi.

LOL, ^ thx for the tip. I agree with your statement about boost i noticed the same thing.

I had the same problem at 3500 when I was on the 16g and people would say that its because it hits so hard.

Andy i can say that I am happier with it right now that I was the last couple days because it was so damn laggy, I can say its not half bad and its looking like I will like it.
I'll keep everyone updated, not sure how many HX35 users are in here but I will get more wot pulls done soon.

Are there any measurements of Billet HX40s vs. regular?
Basically i want to clear up the design of the wheel vs. the material.
Because its not the billet that makes it better its the design.

I sure did, I love that forum. :hellyeah:

This place has gotten a lot better too.

Any did some more pulls getting about 20psi by 3600-3800rpms. I need to remember to open the cutout when doing pulls.

Just got my HE351Vgt.

Won't really be able to run it till December after cruise, but figured I'd start gathering parts now.

Hey guys, my hx35 is on the way should be here tomorrow. I have a question for those running the hx35, does anyone use the internal wastegate or do you HAVE to go with external. I have no problem running the stock wastegate pressure and the "plan" is to get the BEP bolt on housing so it will have the upgraded flapper. Will i run into problems with this setup?

Stock wastegate actuator with the bep housing has been proven not to control boost under 30psi. .. So unless you're ready stay away from the holset actuator.

Thank you for the information that's exactly what i was looking for!

Weird mine works just fine.

Found some of my tuning issues, a local station i used by chance, not my usual uses E85 year round instead of the E70 they should supposedly be on.

Hey guys i just wanted to give everyone a little update on my H1C install. I had a buddy of mine cut the t3 flange on my manifold and re weld it at a angle so that the turbine housing doesnt hit the block. But now i think it might be a angled a little to much. Im kinda worried about it hitting the radiator. What do you guys think??

I say it will be awful close. I would say you will have to mount your fans in front of the radiator.

I just went out and took a mesurement and I got 9" from the front of the VC to the start of my PR alum. radiator!

I know im gonna have to run a slim rad fan in between the rad and intercooler thats not a problem. I just went out side and mesured the distance from the edge of the VC and to the widest part of the turbo and im sitting around 10ichs. I called my buddy up and had him messure the distance from the edge of the VC to the thinest part of his stock rad and he came up with about 11 1/2 inches. so i have only about a 1 1/2 of room.

tell your buddy its f%$&*ed up n he needs to redo it:rolleyes:. that is WAAAY too much of an angle. but i am glad to see someone actually did this rather than dent their water pipe!:thumb:
