I think there is more to the HTA wheels than it just being made of billet. The better entry cover alone would make a significant positive difference in flow and spool. There's plenty of proof that a properly radiused bellmouth entry to a turbo does greatly affect topend power and spool speed. It's harder for a turbo to suck than blow. And inlet turbulance can destroy the helix where you need alot of order at high flows to get the most out of the compressor blades.
But, I think the wheels are not quite the same as the non-billet wheels in particular areas other than manufacturing process. For example since billet is stronger and weighs less than a cast wheel. Then you can stand to litterally shave off more material on the billet wheel down to the point that it has the same strength of the cast wheel, but now you're looking at ALOT of weight difference. Not just the billet process that makes the wheel lighter but the fact that you can use less material to keep it just as strong as the non-billet wheel.

, so far the cheapest ive found the billet wheel option is 300 bucks on top of the brand new price of an hx40, anyone know of a cheaper source?
