What Turbo is this? [Merged] Turbo ID Identification

Most likely a s16g. My s16g has similar markings on it but the "620" is throwing me off. The best way to find out is to pull the compressor cover and measure the compressor wheel itself. There is a lot of bastard turbos out there.
 
Fp makes the big t28, and garrett makes the t25, and t28.

One of those things does not belong right.

Austin would probably know if he Bored this compressor whole out.

So that narrows it down to how many blades it has..Or measuring the wheels.Your choice.Measuring the wheels will be like catching a bank robber, who the die packs have exploded on.
 
So to figure it out once and for all:


Compressor inducer 46.5mm
Compressor exducer 60.0mm
Turbine inducer 52.5mm
Turbine exducer 41.4

What is it?

Is this turbo a knockoff 16g? Just bought the car and the guy said it was a big 16g, pulls hard as hell on 17psi so i dont know.

Does it have an adjustable wastegate arm? Threaded with a nut at the end of it. The ebay specials have that. I just blew one of those on a car i picked up. I will be buying a rebuilt mhi turbo. So worth it.
 
As long as you have a logger, and your not knocking, i'd run it like it is untill it gives out. Before I got my mhi big 16g I thought about buying an ebay knock off. Looked up tons of reviews and like crash89 said, some people run them for a while without them blowing. I just went with an MHI because of the obvious, but if you already have it in there just run it till it wont go anymore. At least its already converted to a 14b/16g setup
 
Ok thanks guys the guy I bought it from was a complete liar. For 17psi it pulls and spools pretty strong even tho I'm new to turbo dsms and hp numbers I think it's pushing 270-300hp, dsmlink v2 said 340hp so the guy told me LOL.

ok, i have the stock t25 on my car at the moment, i just picked up a small 16g, and two other quite big turbos, i was told one was a t67 and the other is a gt37, the one that i was told was a gt37 is a Perkins and has the code 2674a237, i believe its a diesel turbo, and i believe they go for $1,500 brand new.. and if it is a diesel turbo, is there anyway i can run it?.. maybe as a compound set up? and how much do the greddy t67's go for?

T67's are MHI turbos, not Garrett....but it's far too large considering you're currently using a T25.

If the other is indeed a GT37, it's too large for your application as well. Keep in mind MSRP and what the turbo is actually worth are two different things- you can't put it up for sale for $1500 and expect to get a single hit unless you happen to find someone with a Perkins Diesel in need of a new turbo. For DSM's there are plenty of cheaper options with easier installation and more potential.
