What Turbo is this? [Merged] Turbo ID Identification

Is this a small 16g compressor with an EVO 3 hot side housing? Is there any benefit to this? Does it have better air flow? Is it going to loose power? I bought the turbo the guy said it was a EVO 3 it shows up and now I think i got a turbo that isn't going to spool properly.

Is there a pic? Having a evo3 exhaust housing will not effect spool, its the same sized inlet, and has the same wheel from the small 16g to a e316g.

Well last night I bought some evo 8 enkei wheels (immaculate) with some nitto NT01 comp tires on them for $200.. the guy pulled out this turbo and asked if I wanted it also.. I believe its the evo III 16g, its been rebuilt, looks great.. gave him $500 for the wheels and turbo.. hoping its a 16g and not a 14b.. anythings better then the t25 though.. well its not letting me upload pics from phone right now so ill describe it and post pics later...

It has 12 fins on the intake side, says TD05H on the housing and also has these numbers: 49178-06200 and 000914107.. has a mitsu waste gate on it.. if it is a 16g or 14b, can anyone give me stats on either, or both.. thanks guys

Awesome thanks. Justin do you know what turbo the 50.8mm compressor wheel is on?

Okay so this question may seem stupid, but I do not know exactly what turbo I have here. I am parting a car out and noticed that this is an actual PTE turbo with a Turbonetics elbow aimed at the drivers side. It has an internal wastegate, and a Mitsubishi exhaust housing.I have pictures linked below. I'm just not sure what measurements mean what. Thank you for any help.

While I do not appreciate the part where you call me stupid :( (which is agreeable heh) I more so appreciate how fast and helpful you were. Thank you very much sir. By the way I did search, I guess just not carefully enough.

Thank you,
Scott Y.

Ok, so I ran across this page the other day listing numbers that identify Mitsubishi turbos. Well, somehow even after bookmarking this page on my phone, I can no longer find it so I can identify my turbo. The girl I bought the car from claimed that the original turbo was replaced with one off a Porsche, which I imediately dismissed as possible since all the stock heat shields, oil and water lines, intake, and exhaust components were present that bolt up to the turbo. I would never imagine a Porsche turbo would be a direct bolt on for a stock DSM. So can anyone tell me what turbo this really is? The data plate says Garrett Japan. Were the stock T-25s built by Garrett? Sorry the pics are a little blurry, phone camera....

The T25 turbine wheel has 11 blades, the T28 turbine wheel has 10 blades and the BigT28 turbine wheel has 9 blades. :thumb:

Now by this, do you mean the total number of blades between the compressor housing and exhaust housing? Well I just looked at the pictures I took last night, and what I just asked seems unlikely. There's 9 exhaust blades so I'm assuming I got the Big T-28. Would this be correct?
