I picked up the -10AN oil drain and head oil feed from extremepsi. If you want to keep the v-band outlet, just pick up a 2.5" v-band clamp and flange from vibrant. Just make sure you have room for the clamp, as it's a bit larger than a silicone coupler is.

Not quite, 2.5" would be too big. I measured the stock flange OD at 2 7/8". The closest thing that Vibrant has is there 2.25" flange, which is 2 13/16". The best thing to do would be to find the stock Cummins elbow that attaches there from the factory, and cut the flange off, then find a used clamp. The clamps can be found on ebay for like $20, but I can't find the elbow (I saw a few on ebay a few days ago, not sure if they were the correct ones, but they weren't cheap).

I'm definitely going with something bigger than a -10AN drain, probably more like -14 or -16. I was thinking of maybe making/buying the flange, then welding an AN bung onto it, because I haven't seen anything bigger than -10 for sale.

The 2.5" flange and clamp is the best solution. The 2.25" flange will not work, the locating lip that is machined to the mating surface of the flange won't fit properly inside of the hx35 outlet. Unless you make a custom flange like I had, the 2.5" is the only option. It works perfectly as well, the only difference is the lip on the vibrant flange is taller, but the clamp grabs on both sides so there won't be any issues.

*edit* I've tried one of each flange, and the only one that works is the 2.5" You're welcome to try the 2.25, but it's only available in steel, and like I said the locating lip won't hold the flange in place.

Figured everyone would want to see pics of the HX40 with a T3 .70 A/R BEP housing mounted to an ERL manifold on the car, so here's the setup mounted to my FWD (even though it's permanent home will be on the AWD):

Don't mind the mess, the engine's on it's way out of the car...I just snapped some pics while there was nothing in the way. You can see how the ERL manifold allows tons of room for the turbine housing to clear the block and the compressor cover to clear the water pipe.

Such a great budget set up that will put you in the 10's/11's. I love it! :hellyeah:

You can find them on ebay all the time the hx35 and 40. I got mine from there for like 500 shipped BRAND NEW. Then I picked up the .70ar t3 hotside from tim's turbos and I was set with this exact same turbo. Perfect for anyone looking to have a all around beat car:thumb:

I'm running a nice 7lbs of boost with no creep issues. Ebay knockoff tial, in an ebay stainless o2 dump recirculated. No porting done by me. I got the housing from Justin, so I'm not certain if he did any porting on it before it got to me.

I never has to port my bep housing with my h1c either. Ebay external 38mm gate as well. With the ebay spring and no mbs my boost sat at 5psi all the way to 7500rpms. Maybe it's the ebay gates :p

Can u guys point me in the direction of a good external O2 housing and wastegate to run high boost off of.
I will occasionally need to run pump when I can't find E85, but for the most part looking for 35psi.
I tried searching ebay, but everything is for a damn V-band downpipe and i have the stock style 2 bolt.
Also Planning on running a new 38mm V band gate or whatever cheap gate I can find that will work.

I honestly don't remember exact details anymore- I've had it about a year. I think I paid around $530-$550 shipped, I know for a fact the BEP turbine housing was $235 shipped from G-Pop (beat SBR's best price by $15), and the manifold on the group buy was $522 shipped with the 38mm wastegate flange. Found a very lightly-used Tial 38mm gate for $100 as well.

I have less in my entire setup than most vendors want for a new GT35R. :thumb:

Anyone have a cfm rating or max lbs/min of a 8 blade 60mm Holset H1E? Just picked one up and wonder if it'll meet my goals. Should be running in 3 weeks max~!

Mike. I'm sorry. read your pm and didn't have time to reply. Then I forgot about it :(.

There's no map that I've seen of the 60mm inducer 8blade h1e. I suspect that it flows slightly less than the 60mm 6 or 7blade hx40 wheels. The blades get in the way of the flow at higher demands. It would be a speculation for me to say that it flows about 65lb/min, about as much as a gt35r :).

Got it in the mail yesterday. 60mm Inducer 82mm exducer on the compressor. Turbine fits like a glove in my BEP housing. Should be up and running within 2 weeks :hellyeah:

Forget my Post i'm gonna be running a MAPerfomance O2 with Tial 38mm MVS.

How many people are running the HX35 in bolton housing? I know one 2g in cali. but thats it.

A little while back, someone had a velocity stack on a HX40 listed in the classified section. I PM'd him about it but he never answered me back. It fit perfectly on the turbo and I have not been able to find one like it anywhere online. I wish I had saved the picture... Does anyone know of ones that fit the HX40?

im in cali too, LOL im running a hx35 in my 2g

dsm-onster... Any idea where I can get a turbine wheel+shaft for my H2E, and maybe a rebuild kit? And is the stock compressor wheel, and compressor housing good enough as it is? Also is there a different turbine housing, or what manifold/adapter should I use? I'm not too sure if it's a T6 or not but it's huge. I think I really want to run this turbo, I already have it and I think it will be good for my goals.

You could have gotten the housing from BEP for cheaper than either people you just mentioned. Good buy though.

wouldn't the 8-blades be more efficient at lower boost just at peak airflow is when the extra blades become a restriction?

Mike, I would think that turbo would be plenty for your goals, it should spool a tad bit better than the 7-blade 60mm too.:hellyeah:

Apex you are the one I'm talking about. 95 we just results I should have my stuf labor day weekend then I can post up solid airflow numbers sadly that kid on talk that wanted a 264 cam must of changed his mind.
