Hey guys, i have been reading some posts, and would like someone to look at my pics, and if they have any idea what kind of garrett turbo i have, that would be great.

-I just got the car, and the prev owner got it installed.
-also he has the turbo kicking in at 5k rpm.
-i would assume it is best at lower RPMS.

-Any feedback would be awesome, thanks.

I have this turbo no shaft play it has a Turbonetics exhaust side and a stamp of 4 digit number. (0358)

that's all I can find on the turbo. Can anyone help on what it is.???

I do know its a T3.

Can you take measurements of the inlet and outlet and possibly the inducer with a digital micrometer? You can search on turbonetics website on the online catalogue - compressor wheels and housings. They have a list of all the turbo's with measurments on there, and you probably will be able to match it up that way.

Pulled off engine, unsure if it is a real or ebay quality. Also small 16g? or big?
Also says on front TD05H then the serial numbers I have pictured.
The turbo has no shaft play and in good condition. What is a good price to list it on Craigslist for?
Thanks for the help!

Agreed with gtjre01 that's a pretty accurate price range on that turbo used. I would take a look at the compressor blades to see if they might have been "clipped" at all to possibly get a little more out of it.

Lots of helpful info thanks all you guys for the input I know i didn't start this thread but it helped me too. I have had about 9 DSMs and this past Friday I just picked up my first TSI and this turbo stuff is all new to me.

I was told by the previous owner that this was an EVOIII turbo. It looks like it has a 47 stamped on it but I can't tell for sure. I will upload the pic shortly.

Came with a vehicle I purchased. No shaft play. Compressor wheel obviously has eaten a lego. Not savy enough to know exactly what this is or what it's capable of in good condition.

Worth rebuilding and what are the possibilities with it?

Edit : With some google work, am I looking at something like the T04E I had a while back on the green talon, Jus?
