Trying to find out what turbo this is, Turbonetics??? CT 2??? Been layin around the shop for a couple yrs, cant find it on the net. Just needs new wheel, snapped a blade, but spins great and no play. Gonna build a header at work, maybe two if this thing will work for my app. gonna get a front mount or an air to water, or both. No $$ for new turbo, this one may be free + wheel. Not even sure I can feed a bigger turbo the fuel it needs right now, 750cc inj is prob the biggest I can go with my hks and KD chip.

Gonna check pic size, might be to big, I did crop them.

V-trim compressor wheel, who knows what turbine....could be Garrett Stage 1 or Stage 2 (T327), but I'll need specs for that.

Either way if you're changing the turbine you can probably snag an old Garrett T3-spec DSM bolt-on housing somewhere and get a turbine wheel to fit that housing, saving yourself a ton of fabrication time to get this dinosaur on your car.

Justin all I know is this is a master power turbo. Dont ask how I know LOL. I cant find any info on it only. I hear its in a .63 hot side.

Thanks, I knew it was old, remembered what car it cam off of. It was free, so not a big deal, the shaft is bent too. Got the evo III as my turbo now and still need to do a few things to get the most out of it. This thing was on a 944 turbo ITA race car. Not sure if it was with this turbo but the last dyno #s were just under 500 rwhp.
Thanks again for checkin it out.

Looks like a 60-1 spec compressor mated to who knows what turbine; appears to have oil dumping out of the turbine side so it likely needs rebuilt.

A word to the wise- the last Master Power turbo I received from a customer couldn't be serviced with a standard Garrett parts kit...they screwed with the shaft sizes to make the parts incompatible so you had to buy the parts from them at ridiculous prices. It ended up getting scrapped.

I have a TD05H turbo that has the compressor cover marked as 49178-01030 which is a stock 14B but i was told by the seller it was a 16 or 18g from fp and i can see the inlet/compressor cover has been machined for a larger wheel it seems. Its clearly not a billet wheel and its clearly not a stock 14b so im wondering what exacly i have here. Here is some pictures.. If theres something identifying that would be great otherwise i guess ill have to remove the cover and measure the wheel...

It looks like a TD05H 20g, a 14b/16g that has been fitted with a 20g compressor wheel. But I'd pull the compressor cover and measure to be sure.

The only numbers I could read in those pics were 52.Its not a 14b,so that narrows it down.Pull out your caliper homie!!!

030 is a 14b. Serial number posted in original post. And thats actually a 53.in the first pic. Its a 20g wheel stuffed in a 14b from the looks of it. But needs to be measured.

yea i think ill have to measure that up. Also if you didnt see it has what appears to be the evo 3 turbine housing (curved top and shape of one) vs stock.

Hey everyone, this odd setup came up for sale in my area. The seller has no clue what it is and neither do I. Any input on this turbo? It has been mated to a DSM specific turbine housing. It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I'm not saying you're wrong by any means Justin but that compressor cover looks nothing like the one on my sbr g50. Maybe because mines externally gated?

Justin could you hazard a ball park guess on what Garret this might be? T3 flange. Looks like 6 bolts from chra to turbine housing, external gate. I estimate the compressor inducer to be about 2.300.

Thanks
