I'm sorry to hear man. That takes the fun out of this. When this time comes (motor is on bonus time), not excited.Update: Out another $9,000 to pay the new shop out of pocket. Brings total long block cost to $18,000. Car is still gone a year later. Old shop tells me once a week they are about to send me money.
Man, maybe time to contact a lawyer. This really sucksUpdate: Out another $9,000 to pay the new shop out of pocket. Brings total long block cost to $18,000. Car is still gone a year later. Old shop tells me once a week they are about to send me money.

Looks great!Car was delivered!
Didn't get too beat up at the shop.. Super dirty, a lot of my fresh zinc plated bolts/nuts are pretty gnarled up. Good thing I have a bunch of extras.
Too bad it is already deep into winter here, I won't do anything until Spring.
Peace!

Woops I thought I posted it.Nice, man!
No engine bay pics? Let hear that thing run!
Haha thanks. Yeah I mean I'm still like $16,000 out of pocket for a long block. Looking back, I should have just bought someone's longblock from a partout or something.. Hard to find trustworthy shops.Man, I gotta commend you on not giving up. Not gonna lie, I probably would've just rage quit and focused on the Evo or something else at that point while hiring a lawyer to get my money back.
But seriously all jokes about part-outs and etc aside, major...major props for pushing through. I swear sometimes it feels like I threaten mine almost daily with selling it or parting it out. Lol.
Morrison fab ftw! Car looks great thoI also need to figure out a new turbo oil drain.

Look on the bright side: I was just quoted $30k to install upgraded rods and cylinder sleeves in my 911. Not even a full rebuild, just those and a few "while you're in there" things...Haha thanks. get the car up to operating temp then shut it down, pull valve cover and retorque the head studs when hotWoops I thought I posted it.
I have to button everything up and re-check all the bolts/nuts and retorque etc. before it runs. I also need to figure out a new turbo oil drain. I'd like to get the hot parts coated this winter too. So not running at the moment!
