After much deliberating and searching, think I'll just go with a composite HG on my 2.4. With good studs and such, it should hold.

Heard few horror stories about tranny being shifted wrong and blowing the motor, that's why i asked.

Have you ever accidentally switched into lower gear instead of higher one using this box? Does not look like it has any protection against that.
