I would leave it as it is. There is really no advantage to the Bastard 20g. The Evo3 16g and bastard 20g (20g wheel in 16g compressor inlet) make the same power. Both are capable of 300hp+ with correct mods, which seems like your on the right track. Anyways why tear apart a perfectly good turbo? It has no shaft play. So bolt it on and go whoop the shit out of your friend and his 20g, he will be pissed you beat him with his old turbo 
edit- Also the link you posted is just like making a bastard 20g. A true 20g will be a down facing turbo. (meaning no j-pipe)
