I could be a small 16g but check this chart against your part number (I couldnt read it from the picture)

When I got my Tsi I noticed the turbo seemed loose?
I looked into it and it turned out that my turbo doesn't have the V=band clamp that hold the two housings together.
The motor was just put it and I think that other owner just forgot to put it in?
Any way It think this is the piece I need.

I took the whole turbo off so I could check it out and I have a bolt broke off in the housing.
I plan on getting a set of easy outs and removing it that way.
Here are some pictures of the turbo and the exhaust manifold.
I'm hoping that y'all can tell me what type of turbo it is and type of manifold.
I was told it was a 18g, but from what I've looked up it is an EVO 3 16g.
But I want to know for sure what it is.

Looks like an 18G compressor wheel for sure- the setup has been machined out of the compressor inlet, and an Evo III compressor would have "longer" blades with less hub area.

You need the v-band for a TD05H, not a TD04. Post pics of the turbine wheel if you can.

Ok I will post a lot of pictures when I get off work today.
And they will be with a real camera and not my phone!
I'm in the process of getting the proper V-band clamp right now.
I really appreciate your help, I didn't want to order the wrong clamp.
Do you think I hurt the turbo from running it with no clamp?
I only drove the car about 5 miles like that and I didn't get on it hard at all.

Hey guys I just bought a turbo I was told it is a pte 50 trim but I have my doubts. I was wondering if you guys could help me out.
The only letters on it are on the compressor housing and they are a/r .60.

If this were a PTE turbo, it would be a SCM5031E. It's a 50-trim compressor, T31 (Stage 3) turbine, and that is a Bullseye Power stainless DSM bolt-on turbine housing.

Not sure if this is a good thing or not, but I've personally seen a handful of eBay turbos that outlasted Precision turbos.

In a round-about fashion, yes. It was distributed and supposedly built by Forced Performance- but the turbine housing, turbine wheel, wastegate actuator, and compressor cover are definitely not Genuine MHI parts.

This only leaves the compressor wheel, center housing, and internals as possible MHI parts....but with the rest of the turbo being non-Genuine I'd find it hard to believe these parts would be Genuine.

Really. That kind of scares me a little would you recomend getting it rebuilt before putting it on. Would that make it more reliable than say it is a precision turbo. Right now the turbo has minimal shaft play.
