I have what appears to be a 20g, however it has all the characteristics of something larger. it has the mitsu hotside and the guy I bought it off of says its a 50trim... Its obviously larger....

It used to have a blue tag where the wastegate vacuum is on the compressor.

You have one of the old Extreme Turbo Mutts. I just had one of those myself a year or so ago....interesting system for mounting the turbine housing.

Since we're talking about an era where not everyone and their brother was producing a DSM bolt-on turbine housing, these were made by machining a 7cm Mitsu turbine housing to work with a Garrett T3 center housing then using the elaborate clamping system.

Definitely a 50-trim compressor, defintely a Turbonetics cover....although the T04E covers are all interchangeable as long as the wheel spec is the same. My Mutt had a cover which appeared to be the same as a PTE.

Your turbo is dated somewhere in the 2000-2001 era.
 
its a Garrett , when u buy a turbo from them u can get the back side t3,t4 or mitsu
it might be a 60-1 am 70% sure
 
I found two turbos at a garage and the guy working on my car said I could have them, He just said that the actuators do not work, but there is no shaft play on either. He said they are from a VW and both say garrett on them. I just want an idea of how much I can sell them for to see how much I can make back from that trip. Thanks!!

I am not sure what type of turbo this is?? It came off my JDM motor that i bought...it had the yellow tipped injectors in but i am not sure what exactly it is....it has TD05H and 49178-01 on the side of it...it is also a dual vane too...is it a 16g or what?? :confused:

Think its a TRUST T3 8cm housing meaning its probably for a Nissan, but not sure on what type of TD05-???
It probably didn't come factory on anything with that turbine housing....most likely part of Mitsubishi's aftermarket lineup.
I heard it may be Trust/Greddy TD05-14b which flows on par with a small 16g but not sure.
Explain how a 14B can flow on par with a 16G? A 14B is a 14B, and a 16G is a 16G....you cannot modify the amount of airflow a certain compressor wheel makes by changing the turbine housing.

The only way you can improve turbine flow is if you're running a giant compressor wheel mated to a small turbine wheel / housing that is not allowing the compressor to perform at it's peak....since a 14B compressor can be maxed out in it's factory DSM 6cm housing, it cannot benefit from a turbine housing upgrade.

Makes complete sense. I'm 98% sure its a TRUST TD06-17C. Looks exactly like the Syclone TD06 turbo...
