need a close up of the serial numbers on the compressor housing and the exhaust side wheels to tell. Could be a 13g, 14b, 16g, etc.

Can you post better pics with the numbers in them please. My guess would be a 16 but can't be positive without more clear pics.

TD05 14B, came off a manual 1G. Look at the blades on the compressor wheel, no double blades. Also TD05 on the housings, indicates its not a 13G.

YEa it looks to small to be a 16g also. I'd say by the looks of the blades also everyone is right. Should be a stock turbo from a 1g manual.

No, its not a small 16G. All 16G, the small, big, or EVO, have double bladed wheels. The one in that picture does not, therefore it is a 14B.
It cannot be a 13G because they use the smaller TD04 housing, as the one in the pic clearly states its a TD05 housing.
Get your facts straight, or don't post at all. All you are doing is confusing people.

Just an update, the car is running awesome, I put a new clutch in it and it really pulls hard but I have a wastegate problem because its freakin' boosting 20 psi!

What I want to know is if the wastegate from a 14b will fit on this turbo? I've tried everything I could think of and have narrowed it down to the actuator.

It's probably just creeping, like a normal evo 3 does. I'd port the turbine housing.

There are epoxy's available that can definitely hold it together. There are ones that used to glue concrete together, and then the concrete breaks before the glue gives. It's definitely possible, but I highly doubt they buy top dollar epoxy either.

Hi there, I'm looking at a turbo right now.. the guy doesn't really know the specs, but he claims its a mitsubishi flange and it's a 60 trim... please check it out. Let me know your OPPINIONS!! Thanks..

the exhaust side looks like it could be a bullseye turbo or housing.. other then that i dunno.

Well, the only real things that you can tell from those pictures (which are not good at showing any real details), is that it looks like an AGP or Bullseye turbine housing with a mitsubishi flange. It is also externally wastegated, was run on a 1st gen (notice the O2 sensor plug), and has a T04E compressor cover with either a T31 or a T350 turbine (by the center section oil drain).

Personally, he can call it whatever he wants -- a 50 trim, a 60 trim, a 57 trim or a 56 trim will all look similar. We know it is an A/R.60 E cover compressor, so more than likely a 50, 60, or 56 trim.

Past that, you need to have exact measurements of the inducer and exducer of the compressor wheel, and the same for the exhaust wheel (along with how many blades are on the exhaust wheel).

Unless he describes ALOT more detail to the turbo, along with sending you a copy of the original receipt or invoice, listing the manufacturer or retailer of the turbo, along with any warrranty info, it is NOT worth purchasing because it is a risk.

It is tough to give any more of a description with the O2 housing attached, and without the use of a digital caliper to measure the wheel specifications.

thanks for your replies, I actually got in contact with the original owner.. the turbo only has 3k miles on it and he said its a 60trim turbo w/ a bullseye power turbine housing to bolt on to 1G or 2G eclipse/talons. and it was on a 1G, then replaced with a 20G for AUTOCROSS, but i believe used the "60 trim" for 1/4 mile... .. but I asked for more info so i'm awaiting that.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!
