I got this turbo really cheap, but can't exactly find out what is.. If it ends up something that is worthless I will just polish it and make a pretty sweet paperweight.. I wasn't sure about size restrictions on images so I will just link it so that I don't step on any toes.

looks like a Garrett T-3. Has the ford 5 bolt housing, so I'm guessing it came off a turbo cougar, like my old T3 did. I had one that looked identical to the one you had. I got rid of it and all the other turbo stuff i had for my neon and bought a dsm. Smartest move i ever did. But yea, it looks like a T-3 that came off a turbo cougar.

well you will need a manifold to bolt up to that T-3 style flange. Then you would need a special 02 housing made to bolt up to that 5 bolt style flange since yours won't fit. Also would need new oil and coolant fittings to fit the Garrett style instead of the Mitsubishi style. Alot of work is going to be needed to get this on your motor and running. Just finding the right parts is all, considering the turbo is good. If you live near a diesel repair shop or performance shop that specializes in turbo's i would take it there and have them look at it to see if its ok. I took mine there and luckly they had a repair kit in stock and balanced it for a total of $180. Not bad considering it was given to me. So if it were me i would first check to see if that turbo is useable, then start finding parts to fab it up.

The dude I bought the car from said i have a 16g, on the turbo it says TD05H, how can you tell if this is a 16g or not? Whats the stock turbo on a 90 tsi?

Stock turbo is a 14b. Looks identical to a 16g from the outside.

Take the intake pipe off and look at the blades. If they look like single blades its a 14b. If it looks like double blades its a 16g. 16g blades have staggered tip heights that makes it look like that....

A 14b is what normally comes stock on manual 1g cars. The automatic cars come with TD04 13g's.

To tell the difference, pull off the intake and look at the compressor wheel. A 16g has alternating high and low compressor fins. A 14b's compressor fins are all the same height.

Ew that 14b wheel looks like it was designed in 1950. Looks like a procharger or my vacuum cleaner motor. I've never actually looked at one.

Looks like it was removed from either a saab turbo, t-bird turbo coupe, or a mustang svo. I havent done any side by side comparison of any of them but I do know they both use a garrett t3 with a t3 flange, 5 bolt ford styly turbine housing, and internal wastegate. Regardless of which it is, it more than like will not support any more power than a s16g(if that).

Yup that is in fact a turbo off a saab 9000. Appears to be straight t3, dont expect much
