Yeah, looks to be the XS Engineering 16G Killer, after looking at the RRE comparison page. Thanks a ton guys. Also, didn't know this was like a 1200 dollar turbo, i got it for 100 bucks with zero shaftplay :D
 
Yeah just post a picture and it will be a ton easier to identify. Or inlet size, number of fins, dual or single fins?
 
Does it say TD05 on the compressor housing?

It's most likely a small 16g from the description and dimensions, but who knows if someone made some mish-mosh turbo.

Either way, it's not a t25, and it's not anything bigger than a 16g, so if you are wondering what it's producing, you are in the 14b-16g range.

The 14b has straighter blades of the same size while the 16Gs has curved staggered pairs of blades (smaller and larger). If the number on your comp housing is saying its a S16G then there is a 99% chance that it is.

49178-01520 is a Small 16G. Good turbo, with nice spool characteristics. Not bad at all for a little hairdryer and Kyle (Newb2dsm) has gone 12.1x's with one.

Are you sure that you are sure that is says 8 instead of 9. ROFL.

My ginnormous turbo lists are on my other computer so I cant get to them right now for referencing purposes. Ill keep searching.
 
Hey sorry for the newb question, but im in the right forum to ask it :)

I just bought my eclipse gst, 1g 6bolt swap, other mods in profile, anyway.

the number on my turbo says TD05H, and i see that number on both 16g turbos and 14b turbos... im assuming it could be a 14b because of the 1g swap, but theres pleanty more upgrades on this car to make me think otherwise... any way of telling the difference?

also, the car has an AEM fuel rail.... NEWB ALERT HERE, but what does that mean?
 
i found out that if you take off the hose to the wheel the 14g has a bunch of single looking blades, while the 16g has close together blades,

but does anyone have an answer to the fuel rail question? ill post back here after i find out what turbo it is

EDIt** Just looked, its a 14g
 
Aem is just a after market fuel rail is all, so what that means is some one took the stock one off and put a pretty aftermarket one on is all. All though they may have upgraded the injectors while there were at it, are your injectors blue at the top?
 
Look on top of your injectors. Usuall AEM fuel rails are Red. Its an upgrade to the stock one. The stock one has put people over 600whp. It flows better but its not really needed.
 
Where the injectors enter... where ever they enter (hahah newb alert again) theres a touch of blue, i havent pulled them.. but otherwise theyre silver.. whats that mean?

i know my ABC's of the engine, but when it comes to fuel managment or fuel period.. im completely in the dark...
 
I was told buy the guy I got it from that it was a small 16. I am not to sure I think it is the 14b. Can anyone tell me by looking at the blades. Sorry I know the pic is crappy but all i have is a camera phone.
