I looked at it again last night...and I think it's 4917801400. I'll check those last numbers again...and maybe I'll take the intake off and snap a pic of the compressor wheel. Last night I had to replace the lower lateral arm on the passenger side(replaced the drivers side one about a month ago...squeaks gone...then comes back on the other side...ugh!) But no more squeaks, I'm all about getting this thing tuned at tearing cars apart on the street!

Maybe you should wait and see if thats a 14b or not. Even if it is a 16g, I don't know what kind of numbers you think you're going to make. Maybe you should wait before you make any promises. Just my opinion

I don't plan on making any big numbers...heck I'd be happy to see it making stock numbers. I'm just trying to figure out the hackjob that the kid before me did, and see what i need to correct.

Yea the funny part is...that was the day I picked my car up. My buddy was behind me in my Accord, and we were at a stop light. He hit me up on the Nextel and said "there's a cop behind me" so I drove slower than normal, hoping that he wouldn't notice that I didn't have any plates. Well about 30 seconds later I got pulled over for no plates and tinted windows. I was on my way home, then I was going to go get plates, I already had insurance on the car...but long story short he let me go and told me to fix the windows and not to drive the car until I had plates. So my buddy in my Accord drove by where I was pulled over about 3 times and took pictures each time...until another cop started following him and he left.

Sorta like the 14B. I double checked the numbers...still the same as what I thought they were. I just did a boost leak test(unsuccesful) and now the car is stuttering and keeps wanting to die.

look closely at the compressor wheel. the 16g is doubled compared to the 14b with the fins. please double check to make sure. this will determine what it really is.

That part number is from a 14B for sure.
It's from a VR4 if I recall correctly.

If you're still unsure measure the diameter of the compressor inlet. The outer diameter of the inlet on a 16G is 58mm. The inlet on the 14b is smaller, 53mm if I remember correctly.

i have the same turbo...and it come's from an Mitsubishi Spacewagon RVR 4g63T. TD04HL as from 4G63T RVR. 0.50 exhaust housing 46.5mm turbine and deep 41mm compressor

heres a turbo that someone is selling me. he tells me it came of an automatic evo III he just got in from japan. . It is a td04 MFD# 49189-02600. is this a 13g, 15g or what ? I have heard of there being 3 types of 16gs. MHI16g, MHI Evo 3 16g, and the big evo 3 16g. Ive been searching online for a while to find out if this turbo is worth it being that Im running a 14b now . thanx

It's definitely not one of the 16G variants. If it came off of an automatic it might be a 13G but I'm not positive.

thats whats killing me . I cant find it anywhere weather its a 13g , 15g 16g or just a hair drier. cant find any info

Pretty positive its not a 16g. Dont think they made them in tdo4 housings.

srt4 uses a td04 16g

the srt-4 turbos also consist of the manifold and exhaust housing as one piece.

I found this list of Mitsubishi TD04H turbos. The part # of this particular turbo (49189-02600) is listed about 2/3 down the page. It's the one after the 15G Caterpillar application.
But it doesn't make it clear if it is a 13G or 15G. My guess is still 13G.
