What brand did you get for $21.99

I've got StreetGlows Gold series for my white neons, they are brighter than any other white ones here in town I got mine for 119 brand new plues StreetGlows neons are on a lifetime warrenty unlike some of the cheaper brands. My Green neons are the LED ones made by Varad them seem to be pretty bright, brighter than any other LED neons I think. I just found a set of LED neons that are digitally controlled and can change between they say 2 million colors, and do all kinds of cool things but they are like 800 bucks.

Is white real bright?

Yeah the white is pretty bright, I have some tape to put across mine to make them even brighter but even without the tape they glow real well. I put a pic of mine with White in my Gallery

i have the stock alarm but i dont even know how it works. all i know is it went off on me once when i tried to open the door from the inside after i turned off the car and the doors were locked.

but anyway, is there any downside to this kit? other then that its not a brand name like street glow? pretty much everyone around here says street glow gold is the brand i should get. ive seen them around for like 150$ about in stores so thats about what i would pay with shipping on ebay but no remote

I was wondering if anyone has one of these or knows anything about them if theyre good or not. its a really affordable price even with the shipping, and you get 2 remotes one for in car and one on keychain. looks good to me, what do you guys think

hi, well i got my neon kit about a week ago, havent installed it yet, but all of the neons work and they are bright. i just order a wireless remote for my neons.

here is where i got my neons..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33714&item=2471628361

here is the Wireless Remote link
(you can buy this at AutoZone, same price)
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/PILPLSW29

my wireless remote is the same ones that came with the kit that you posted earlier.
im waiting for the remote to come in and getting an Optima Yellow D34/D78 battery, im also hooking up my interior with my other neons, so i need this battery.

well hope this helps, tho i dont have the same neons that you posted.

FIrst off.. i don't want to hear anything about taking them off for good, or whatever. I enjoy neon, and im going to leave them, so if you can't help me or have something constructive... don't reply.

With that said..

I have a little problem with my Lite-Glow underbody neons.I've had these neons for about 8 months, and although they stayed on my car over the winter, i never used them in the cold. My passenger side tube has burnt out, and my driver side is starting to go out also. I bout them from a local store on ebay, and they claimed the tubes came with a lifetime warranty (excluding the exterior lexan tube breaking, which it hasnt) against burning out. I haven't pursued this course yet, because im thinking of a few different options. So i turn to you guys in hopes of some insight. Preferrably by those who have dealt with Lite-Glow or streetglow neons.

Should i return them to the shop where i bought them, and see how they can help me, or go directly to Lite-Glow and ask for 2x replacement tubes?

Should i just toss these Lite-Glow neons, and pucker up and drop the cash on a Streetglow Gold series in a month or two?

What course would you guys take and why? I dont really have money for the Streetglow, because im working on some performance stuff first.. i wanna hear what you guys would do.

Thanks

If I were in your shoes...I would first try the loacl shop you picked them up at. If they bust your ball tell them thanks for the help and never get anything from them again. The you turn to the manufacture. Send them a e-mail or even a phone call. If they believe in thier product they should send you 2 new ones with no problems. Tell them you have a reciept(sp) and the shop you bought them from wont help you out. If they bust your balls say "I guess I should have gome with StreetGlow instead of you cheap crap" and hang up. Hope that helps you out.

Go with streetglow! I have a Streetglow Gold series kit for sale. It's a upgraded kit with 5 tubes instead of 4. it is the highest kit streetglow makes and i'm selling it for 170 plus shipping, it retails from streetglow for 300. it is Neo blue.

^^^^^ if i change colors i'll be going with purple.

one day this week i'll take a run down to the store w/ the receipt and see what they say.

I had this same problem, installed the lights and one burnt out within a week and I turned them on maybe twice, here is the deal, I called the guy who I bought them from (ebay dealer) he gave me lite glows number, Called them they said that they would send one out. They sent the first one out, UPS Demolished it UPS: 1 ME:0 so I called and complained and they sent out another, ups must have had their annual softball tournament and forgot to bring a bat so they subsituted my neon instead UPS:2 ME:0 called and complained yet again and got yet another smashed tube UPS:3 ME:0 finally called one last time and got a pristine tube, hard to believe. Final Score UPS:3 ME:1 My best advice to you is to buy a set of neons from a reputable shop where you can go and get them replaced and have them deal with lite glow, let them explain how 3 neons got desrtroyed in transit. Othewise I would seriously consider the LED lights, I mean they last forever and are not as brittle as the neon tubes. BUT then again you paid for the lights and you deserve your warranty, if you wanna get your money's worth then complain to lite glow (provided the lexan tubes are not broken) hope this helped Ohh and Liteglow will demand the broken neon(s) in return, at least in my case they did, but then again that could have been UPS because of the claim that liteglow must have filed.

I had blue lite glow neons on my camaro, and the driver side one burned out within 6 months of having them on, so i brought it back to the store and they claimed water had somehow gotten into the tubing, so they said it voided the warranty on them. So basically i got screwed and ended up buying streetglow and paying much more than the liteglow only to have two of the streetglow tubes shatter from rocks... i didnt have much luck with both of them so i just took them all off and stopped wasting my money :barf:

This may be a little off topic but have you considered the LED Kits? I have been looking into them for my truck just for fun, and I hear/see advertising that they are the brightest/strongest/most reliable blah blah blah.

I have considered LED, but i like the neon better. LEDs are brighter, but since they are directional they dont spread much light, especially on a low riding car.

I'm just gonna pucker up and go to streetglow. Thanks guys.

i've been in your shoes. liteglow is garbage. i replaced about 8 bulbs that would just burn out. i finally went with streetglow gold series and never had a problem. really durable and well worth he money. i wound up selling them when i got rid of the car for $100 to a friend. that was a steal.

I'd go talk to the shop first off, at most they might have you pay shipping charges on sending the tubes off for warrenty which is like 6 bucks. If you decide to go with LED underbodys go with VARAD they have the best ones IMO ever LiteGlow led kit I've seen has sections of led's burned out but I've been running my VARAD kit for almost a year now with no problems. I also have Street Glows Gold series in white under my car again been running almost a year and never had a problem, before that I had blue for the past 2 years on my truck.

i want to put a white neon light under each of my seat, but i want it to be connected to the battery. i also want it to connected to a switch where the empty spot is below the hazard and defrost buttons. (95 talon) so how exactly would i do this, and would it be very hard? also any other suggetions, comments, etc.

Wiring isn't really the hard part with a project like this. Taking apart the dash is always annoying though. Try to find a nice looking push button, it would be easier to mount in that little plastic thing.

As far as wiring the lights, the diagrams that come with the lights usually makes sense. If you want the lights to turn on with the car, or the head lights it gets a little more difficult.

Keep in mind if you wire an accessory like this directly to the battery, it will be possible to accidentally leave the lights on during the day and drain you battery. You could tap a wire behind the dash to avoid this.

what I did for any electronics and the like was when I first got my car I ran a

--10 gauge power wire from the battery to a little fuse box i brought w/ a 20-30? amp inline fuse.
--box had six outlets to connect wires to and also 6 slots to plug the fuses into.
-- Ran 18 gauge wire off all of the connections and placed a 7.5 amp fuse in each of the 6 slots.
--all 6 wires I ran to 6 small illuminating switches drilled underneath my cd player and plugged it into their power slot.
-- now you run off 18 gauge wire (varys w/ what you're powering) off of the switchs "ACC" slot. I had all 6 switchs have a wire off of the "acc" leading all the way back to the pedals . This way I could connect anything to switched power w/out having to take apart the centerconsole to connect new wires.

-You more then likely use solderless connections you can get at any auto store for all of the connections.
-I found that the extra fusebox fits perfectly behing the driverside kick panel w/ out any exposed wiring.
-Remeber to make GOOD solid grounds with bare metal,,,I just used bolt holes and scrachted off any paint around the connection.

Since you want a switch to go up to the hazard button area you have to take out the center vent. I know some v-faqs go over that. You dont have to take apart the whole dash or anything but youll probaly want to take off the center console to get room.

gettin and figureing out the switch and the pins on the switch are the biggest pain-
I assoume you want a factory looking switch in that location ?
if not then its a piece of cake.

yea i need to do the exact same thing too,im a total newb when it comes to this kinda stuff, i already have a flip up switch and 2 pairs of neon lights but i have no clue what kind of wire to hook up to the battery, and when i get the wire which charge i hook it up on, and on the switch there is two posts but i dont know wut to hook up to what, LOL, also w/ the wire for the neons idk where to hook those up. sry if im askin too much but i really need to do this too

i wanted to put the same kind of switch as the hazard light, so it would still look stock.
