PM me your cell so we can meet up sometime

WARNING:: if your cover is the one from your profile pic it CANNOT be completely shave on the front top. You have to have to leave the areas alone where it steps up near the timing cover and the opposite ends. I had done the older style w no problems but the casting is too thin and I sanded through.

FYI it takes a good while too. All the write ups say hour to hour and a half but those covers dont have half the lettering or ridges that mine or yours had LOL

I spent the good part of 2 days doing it. This was with the cover on the car most of the time.

btw thanks for the props it was a pITA but made the bay look ALOT different

Alright thanks. I'm just going to leave it the way it is now. Looks good.

So i decided i did not want a black valve cover so i went with a red/black cover and i picked up some exhaust wrap witch im going to use the high temp black spray on:thumb:

Does anyone have any experience with the new-er powerball setup for a cordless drill? I saw one at a store locally and was wondering how good they actually work. My valve cover, intercooler piping, and heatshield need some touching up from oxidation, and I was curious if the powerball + Mother's Mag polish would do the trick?

Also I was told by the most respected local powdercoater I have who does pieces for everyone's car that he can put a high temp clearcoat on polished valve covers, and intercooler pipes and such. I may try eventually.

The new wedshaped powerball is pretty snazzy for tough to reach angles. I bought one when I shave my VC. But I found that its a little soft for the job. If your pieces have already been buffed to a shine it works well to knock off a little haze but your better to use mothers mag polish and elbow grease on a soft rag for true polishing. I polished my factory heat shield its sik
