thats about where i stopped.. i started polishing it a week ago and havent gotten back to it.. looks good so far.. what did you use to shave it?
 
thanx .. i used an angle grinder to grind down the letters took me about 15 min just use the tip of the wheel and move it around the letters do it slow thwarts the end after i used a sander i had laying around with some 80 grid sand paper to make everything even
 
i used a dremel with some high speed cutter bits.. im also doing an intake manifold as well.. cant have the GO without the show... lool
 
Looks good. Now hurry up and get it finished and lets see some pics. I need motivation to finish mine HAHA.
 
Seems pretty simple I think you just motivated me to do the same.
 
so no progress on the valve cover yet but i did start making my new spark plug wire cover here is a pic of what it going to look like .. carbon fiber bottom and the girl will be cut out of stainless steel

I took mine to the machine shop at my local high school, set it up on the mill and cut it down in seconds. I had a machinist quote me $40 to do it which was also cheap. Grinding it is a lot of work.
