Unless you are saying that its fixed now and the car runs perfectly, I dont really need to see more evidence. You can try to follow the circuit along the board for continuity, but if youre familiar with that process you could bypass the board...

Steve is 100% correct. You can try to soldier those connections on the back of the main board, but bottom line that capacitor is bad and will do it againIt is in your best interest to send it in for repair if you have not done any major...

No I'm talking about the cold incomplete soldering joint and the corrosion to the top of the board in the area surrounding the cap. It's too bad this one got messed up, looks like it was nice up to the point where that cap leaked.Sure the...

The coating is what they call a conformal coating used to keep moisture away but sadly is also holds the leaked electrolyte in allowing it to corrode the circuits. There is quite a bit of corrosion damage around C201 that will have to be...

Side note but relatedI ran a dual friction clutch in my 98 camaro with a built ls1 and built t56 trans, it was not a good clutchThe metal side of the clutch eventually got so heated it warped the disc, it also had really chatty engagement...

Okay, I was able to get a wrench on it, it definitely wasn't loose, I turned it maybe an 8th of a turn. And I am working on getting a second mode of transportation, just haven't been in the best financial situation for a while. Before I moved I...

Still save able, if you ignore it through the rust will get worse to a point it doesn't make sense.Put it on jack stands and take your time. Its still a very nice car and worth your time

So youre saying a nice smokey burnout would help to resurface them lolThey never check tire date codes at inspection in texas, they just check depth wear. If they were checking date codes I think I would have to shave them and re imprint the...

I really think mitsubishi changed alot of stuff on 98-99 models. My 99 has 2 nipples on the water pump pipe. My late 98 auto had no nipples on the water pump pipe.Edit* my 99 is the same as the bottom schematic I listed, below are photos of...

Youre a little off,On the 2g turbo the banjo bolt on the block goes to the oil cooler, the turbo feed and return comes off of the water pump pipeSo you need the block banjo bolt.Miller import parts (kannapolis auto parts) on face book parts...

chrysler kid replied to the thread 2G Transmission Myth?.
You would need a transmission from a 1995-1999 eclipse gst. You can also use a transmission from a 1996-1999 spyder non turbo, there is debate on them being weaker but it will work fine

I would try to find a used one. I do not consider them a power adder modification, I consider them a visual upgrade and that's allIf your car is bone stock the biggest improvement in driving and boost response will be hard intercooler piping...

It did overheat the day that I installed the fan, but since then it’s been working perfectly. Maybe I just didn’t have the connector plugged all the way in. But it’s fixed now! Thanks for the help.

My 97 was N/A but basically the same rear suspension as a GS-T. I had stock exhaust still and never had a lot of road noise in it in my opinion. I've never been in a spyder so unfortunately can't compare it with thatTires can make a ton of...
