From what I read they were extending it as there was an issue with the website especially in the mobile format. I believe once they got that straightened out they opened it back up at not as much of a discount for anyone who wanted to get it but didn’t have it all up front with a 25% deposit. It was 750 less than retail I think. Maybe to give people a chance that couldn’t get it to work and they said to get a better idea of demand basically. Don’t take my word for gospel but pretty sure that’s what I read and was the gist of it.Weird ass deposit window. Why in the world would they do that?
As near as I can tell from the stuff on the members only page, the answer is Yes.I'm unclear if Neat is moving forward with this or not.. seems they extended the deadline with this new deposit process but that has now ended.. any update from the FB group if they got the order numbers they were looking for and are moving forward?
Wow.We all know Kurt can be a d!ck about things. Like most things its not what you say but how you say it.

This is what Neat posted in the FAQ on this subject on the FB group.Does anyone wanna make a guess what the torque rating for this gearset would be? That’s what I’m dying to know, as an alternative to a PPG gearset for street car guys with 500ft/lbs I’m hoping this will be it.
How much power and torque will the gears handle?
This question is inevitable, but very difficult to answer. The truth is that there are so many variables to the equation that no objective answer can be made. We have customers that break 4th gear with stock power in rally cars, while others have OEM gearboxes survive for years behind highly modified engines.
What I can say is: i. the 4th gear will be about 30% wider than the stock gear; ii. the material we use (9310) will be seriously tougher than the OEM material; iii. the helix angle will be greatly reduced, lowering thrust loading; and iv. the gears will be better supported with a more rigid housing. All of this adds up to a far stronger unit than the OEM 4th gear - my guess is at least 70% stronger. So if you could safely run 450Nm of torque before, it is likely to hold 765Nm now.
I thought Neat said somewhere they already have some test cars lined up when the time comes, before the production run. Hopefully that will give us a decent ballparkThis is what Neat posted in the FAQ on this subject on the FB group.
765 Nm is 564 Ft-Lbs so pretty much perfect for us street guys. Goes without saying though that until these sets are tested there is no way to verify this. Some of us that bought are just going to have to run them hard and find out.
Well since many of the key OEM parts are now gone I think the traditional rebuild options are going to become less and less possible as time goes on. At least that's the impression I've gotten from what Tim Z has been posting. That is the driving force behind the change of bearings and synchros in the trans that is going to be used with this set.I bet most would agree street car or not if you want the most for strength/longevity to still go PPG, but this gearset would be quieter, easier to drive around town, and possibly supply our trans builders with better parts to complete oem rebuilds with?

I have not either.Has anybody gotten an email from Neat like the post here said to expect in the "next few days"? I haven't..
Thanks so much for your W5M33 SportSync order!
We ran a tight campaign to get this project underway. We know that we ruffled some feathers with the pace of the campaign, but you were one of the 33 people who have jumped in to secure a stronger and more reliable solution for the W5M33 platform, at the best possible price we can offer it. Kudos to you!
The final numbers sold were 25 of the Neat SportSync 1-4 kits, and 8 of the Neat SportSync 3-4 kits. Our goal was 30+ sets of the 1-4, so we got oh-so-close.
What we are thinking of doing just to bump the numbers right up to where we need them, is to offer another option to those who didn’t have the available cash for the full upfront payment. They won’t get the same discount that you did, but it ensures there are strong enough numbers to get the tooling, design and prototyping process done and dusted immediately and we turn this product into a reality.
You probably would have noticed the poll we ran in the Facebook group, asking why people were hesitant to buy the product. The result of that poll was that the majority (60+%) of the 650+ members felt it was the wrong timing financially for them, so close to Christmas.
As a result of the feedback from that poll, the plan is to offer a non-refundable deposit system to these people on the fence. They’ll be securing the set they need with a 25% deposit at a higher price than what you bought it at, but slightly discounted off of the full retail price. They’d need to pay the remainder at the time that full production numbers will need to be locked in, which coincides with tax-returns in the USA - mid March 2024 - otherwise they’d forfeit their deposit. To be clear: you paid $4500 for the 3-4 or $7500 for the 1-4; they will pay $5100 for the 3-4 or $8250 for the 1-4. Still a saving for them, to entice more buy-in to get this off the ground immediately and stick to our production and development timelines.
If you have any objections to this plan, or any other queries, please do let us know - just respond to this email. I think this plan strikes the best balance of ensuring we have the right volume to kickstart the product, while honouring the fact that you were the ones to place the full amount up-front. If there are no serious objections, I plan to put this forward to the broader Facebook group tomorrow.
I want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for putting your trust in us to deliver a solution to a problem that has plagued this platform for decades.
Thanks so much,
Sam Charlick

Why not just go dogbox then? This is over a year out, I'm certain the difference $$ can be earned between then and now.564 Ft-Lbs
