14B's can have any one of the following numbers displayed on the compressor housing:

49178-01010
49178-01030
49178-01400
49178-01410

None are any better than the other- it simply has to do with build date more than anything. Certain ones have a right-hand threaded turbine shaft while the others are left-hand threaded.

Doesn't look familiar to me at all. The six-bolt inlet flange is quite overkill!

It has a water-cooled T3 center housing, looks to have a T3 compressor wheel comparable in size to a Small 16G.

The K03 is German-built by KKK. The OP's turbo clearly says "AiResearch" on the compressor cover, which is the old Garrett turbocharger branding before they merged with AlliedSignal / Honeywell Aerospace.

I have a 7bolt longblock that needs a headgasket and a water pump that I want to get rid off. A guy offered to trade me this turbo for it. I have a Civic Hatch and was thinking of possibly turboing it in the future. However I dont really buy it that this came of a honda. Not sure if it is a worthy trade but its not looking like it.

Definitely your standard Stage 1 T3 turbine.

That turbo's nothing special- it would take alot to adapt that particular turbine housing, although you could swap it for any T3-flanged turbine housing that fits a Stage 1 turbine wheel or whatever one you have. Visually, it resembles a Stage 1...only measurements will tell the tale.

I think it MIGHT be from an older Volvo 240 turbo. They look like that.

not sure on the flanges however, it may be a Saab part with those flanges.

If its a direct bolt up, go for it, but if you have to finesse it or remanufacture or fabricate much of anything, its not worth it. Nothing special.

firend of mine gave me this turbo but he doent know what kind it is. What turbo is this? so far the only thing I found out about this is that its a TD06.
