What Turbo is this? [Merged] Turbo ID Identification

Common 5-bolt turbine housings are .48 or .63 a/r....I wouldn't think they'd use a .48 on a 60-1 but you never know.

So putting this all together, you have a Turbonetics 60-1; .60 a/r T04E compressor cover, .63 a/r 5-bolt Garrett turbine housing.

I don't think it's a 60-1... it's got to be a plain 60 trim, at least all the 60-1 wheels in my turbonetics catalogue show to have different inducer and exducer sizes than the one in the pics, so i would say 60 trim, stage 3 turbine on a 68 to 82 ar hot side...not sure of the AR on the cold side though.

How do you go about making sure what the a/r is? Do I need to take the o2 housing off and measure anything on that side to help out? I don't want to lead anybody astray by selling it as something it is not.
Thanks,
Mike

The invoice from forced performance said repair of to4e 47 trim stage 1
use new 60-1 cw to4s
garrett stage 3 turbine wheel
machine compressor or turbinehousing to fit a different blade contour
t3 metric dry bearing housing
maybe this will help

couple more pics

They used that turbonetics hotside because is one of the few that fits with that turbonetics manifold without hitting the waterpipe with NO spacer.
It has the 5 bolt discharge flange (T3), most likely a .63 or .82 hotside.
The compressor cover is a E cover.

Hey all, I have yet another inquiry as to what form of 16g turbo I own. The guy who sold me my car included it, and claimed it was an EVO III 16g. Not knowing any better, I believed him.

Going through this thread, though, has led me to believe I've been lied to. (Or HE had no idea either.)

The serial number printed on the data-plate on the compressor housing is inconsistent with any of the said "real" numbers people are pulling from actual E3 16g's, or any 16g I've seen posted up on this thread. The only thing consistent is the "TD05."

Now, I did a little searching and read that if anywhere on the turbo it says the word "turbocharger," it's fake. I guess I don't want to believe I have a fake one, but odds are...

Thanks!

I have this turbo that iI bought brand new from this guy that was going to put on his turbo 240 sx. I got the turbo off him for 400 dollars and i have researched and checked every where. i came up with this Biagio Turbos-Technology and Innovation . But I cant find out what model its is or any specifications. I was told its journal Bearing. Its t3 flanged the a/r is .70 and .63 exhaust side. I took pictures so you can see what i am talking about and what your thoughts were about it. Maybe somebody know about it. Could be a good turbo or not?

Hey man...don't worry about it...run it..what are you out if it quits? I have a china GT on my car and it seems to be doing fine.

Not much it seems. I'm just disappointed, inexperience got me, but it IS a free, larger-than-stock turbo.

I bought an EvoIII manifold and o2 housings, will this china GT fit, or should I try and sell for funds toward the real deal?

Currently I'm deployed and have alot of time to think. At first I hated my Talon 'cause finding parts to restore it was a pain, but after searching and searching I decided to keep the beast. I've had the car about 3 years, if you count my current deployment. To this date, nobody can tell me what turbo I have. Take a look at the pics under my profile and tell me what you think.

Maybe you have the stock one if you haven't changed it. 14b I believe, pretty good stock turbos I've heard.

It looks to be a turbonetics turbo from the t that is stamped on it. I searched the number that is on the housing that i can see and here are the specs that turbonetics has for the turbo. Its the second 1 down. The 20190 turbo

Turbonetics Inc. | Home | Products | 60 Series | 60 Series Comp Housings

Im sure you could email turbonetics to findout more specs or search online more for it
