Well, I was thinking of buying the TPP turbine sock for the 8cm FP housing.. but they have "international shipping" set at $60.

$60.

For something they could throw in a padded envelope. Shouldn't cost more than a 1/3 of that.

Hell, the product itself is $83. And I'm going to spend 3/4 of that to get it across the border? For a padded envelope and 2 minutes writing up a customs declaration form? I do that in line at the post office.

Hard no.

This sounds like a troll but it isn’t, but send it to me. I’ll throw it in a padded envelope and throw it to you.

I’m all for sticking my finger in the eye of these businesses who scalp peoples shipping costs.

My Talon has been on my lift since late August and hasn't been driven. I was going to start taking it apart last weekend for my winter project (4-bolt swap, new bushings, painting the undercarriage, etc.) but I realized I still had half a tank of fuel left. So I drove it to work today to burn off some of that fuel. Man, this thing is fun.

Replacing the heater hoses on my 2g, they got soft and started seeping a bit of coolant at clamp. I knew it would be PITA with intake manifold, so I decided to remove it to make the situation easier.
Since it's removed now, I'm thinking to go back with the early EVO intake manifold. Also may be going to swap the EVO 1~4 510cc injectors with EVO 5~9 560cc or FIC 650cc in the same time since the 510ccs have been maxed out. I'm squeezing them by raising base fuel pressure.

Rebuilt a couple of 1g Throttle bodies. Seals and BISS screw orings were hard as rocks.

Aaaaannnd after a year the engine is back in! Need to finish up the battery relocation wiring along with the fuel pump rewire and gas tank clean. As far as major tasks go I think that's about it and then I can get it tuned (aside from getting fluids in it of course haha)

Toss the old metal/brown ISC so it doesn't short and fry drivers down the road.

Some weekend carnage for your viewing pleasure.

Stock 98 Talon awd. Just hit 200k miles.
Pulling the motor and trans and rebuilding both. And I think it's time for some small upgrades for the daily now!

Holy crap! Over $500.. last one I bought new was $100... granted that was 10yrs ago but talk about mitsubishi tax!
Ali have them for around 20€… i bought a few for the case something go wrong and the first working still fine, so try this instead of that steal

AliExpress ISCs would scare the hell out of me without some sort of overcurrent short protection added on.

.. why weren't our ECUs designed with that if it's so easy to blow the drivers.. even a PTC nowadays would do wonders I think

Thank you guys for the IAC info. SMP parts are made right here in my town. I used to be able to get some "back door" deals but not anymore. Since I have relatives that work there, I'll give one a try.

Since the intake manifold is off on my 2g, I decided to replace the brake booster hose by using a Kynar/Viton check valve.
