He said stock offset, not stock rim. And like mentioned before get a 8" or 8 1/2" wide rim if you're gonna put that wide of a tire on there. I had 7" wide rims and was running a 225 and that was about the widest I would go on that size rim. I now have 8 1/2" wide rims and am running a 245 with a +35 offset and they fit fine with minimal grinding of the trailing arm in the rear.

I am getting 7.5 because that is all they have. I will be running on a stock setup for now until i get some eibach springs and shocks in the near future. Also, the options of tires they show me are 225/40/18 and 215/35/18. Any Preferences?
what's the offset on those 16x8 and do you have any clearance issues turning?I have 16x8's on my 1g with 245 50 tire
I was looking on doing one of those drag radials also. But im looking for a 235/60/15. Any one have pics with this tire on their 1g?i'm looking to do the same thing 15x8 (rota slipstreams) for my laser but just the front wheels. From what i've search on other threads the wheels should be +40 offset. I'm looking into Mickey Thompson ET street radial II or BFgoodrich Drag radial, both come in 225/50R15. If i go slicks MH has 8.5/24.5-15.
