You can put a 245/x/x on any rim 8" or wider.. stock offset is -38 on 1g and -42 on 2g

He said stock offset, not stock rim. And like mentioned before get a 8" or 8 1/2" wide rim if you're gonna put that wide of a tire on there. I had 7" wide rims and was running a 225 and that was about the widest I would go on that size rim. I now have 8 1/2" wide rims and am running a 245 with a +35 offset and they fit fine with minimal grinding of the trailing arm in the rear.

For your size wheel, i would suggest a 215 for the 6" width and for the 7" a 225 or 235 at max.

Im trying to run 38mm on my EVOX rim and i have to cut off a good 1/4 to 1/2 inch off the control arm in the rear to get it on. Plus it sticks out a good 1/4 inch at a minimum.

I'm getting some 18" Enkei Evo 5 Rims. It's the right bolt pattern and it says it's a 38mm offset. Will that be okay? And for tires what should I be looking for. The rims are 7.5". I don't know size tires I should be looking for? What would be best for my GST?

7.5" on an 18 inch rim? Why do you want that narrow?

I have 18x7.5 wheels and run 225/40/18 tires. I don't think you'd be able to fit a 45 on there without rubbing.

Sorry, I just re-read your post, and realized you probably got these for a good deal. What type of suspension do you plan on having in the future? On my old eclipse with a stock set-up, on 18x7.5 I rubbed in the front when going around hard corners, or over big bumps with 225-45-18. Sometimes tire brand makes a little bit of difference in sidewall, that being said the tires were Kumho Ecsta ASX's.

I would go with the 225's personally as they're wider and have more tread on them than the 215's.

Between the two, definitely the 225/40/18. With a 35 series tire you will be feeling every little pebble in the road, too little sidewall IMO.

hey I have a 15x8 rim. Im looking for a good drag radial/ slick. What tire size will I be able to run with this setup. I was looking at 235/60/15. I have megan springs and agx's. Will this work or should i go bigger? Any advise?

Also, any good dr/slick that works good on the street/track? Thanks

I'm looking into Mickey Thompson ET street radial II or BFgoodrich Drag radial, both come in 225/50R15. If i go slicks MH has 8.5/24.5-15.

This is my friend's car. It is sold already And I can't tell you the size, but I think he ran 26x9.5/9.0x15 Rota slip Streams with some spacers.
