Whats your drop? I am looking to run the same wheels but I was thinking of running 245/35/18's and I am dropped 1.5"

Do you have pics of them on your car? What size tires were you running before? Any rub issues?

Nawh i purchased these a while ago and have been trying to figure out what size to get. I dont know my self what size i should get. I would like your guys opionion..And im running stock suspension. And depending how they fill the wheel well imma lower the car.

I hear ya, I have the same wheels ordered only glass black. I am just going to pull the trigger and see what happens. You might want to figure in your drop because you will def want to drop it a bit once you have 18's under it. 245/35/18 are what I think I am going with, if not it will be 235/35/18.

Yeah, when I was searching I stumbled on your thread and everyone's answers were useless. Question: "What should I wrap them with?" Answer:"Tires" :banghead:

Would be nice to get a serious answer. I will let you know how it goes when I get mine bolted up, but maybe you will beat me to it haha.

I liked the response "I disagree. Tires are expensive and you have to pay someone else to mount them. I would wrap them in 4782 layers of Plasti-Dip. Slightly fewer layers for extra torque. Slightly more if you're making snow tires." Especialy from a wiseman haha but What where you thinking of going with a 245/35/18 ? do you think you can fit that big of a wheel under there? Are you just gonna go for it or have a test fit or something?

Any chance you two have actually used the wheel/offset/tire calculators linked here and available on the web? ;)

There's even a 2g fitment thread on here.

:) 215s on a 8.75 will offer clearance...

Well, I'm not really sure LOL I might just buy 225's because I know I wont have any issues with them. Question now is to go 225/40 or 225/35....hmm

I run 225/40's and I can't imagine going with an even shorter sidewall. The ride is very stiff and my rims have taken a beating and are bent. :sosad:

Daily Driver? Mine wont be driven much, weekend warrior for the most part. What are the specs on your wheels? How low are you?

I'm amazed he bent quality wheels with a 40 series. I've hit some nasty stuff on stretched 35s and cast wheels. :knock on wood: Still straight.

I was kind of thinking the same thing, I had 305/40/18's on my lighting and they took a beating without ever doing any damage to the wheels. 40 series should be fine I would think unless you're offroading with them LOL

I guess you could call it a somewhat daily and I've had the rims for several years and ben through many a pothole. I'm on an Eibach sportkit. The rims are RAYS, but they are a cheap sub brand made to sell at Discount Tire Direct. They are cast. When I say bent, I don't mean unusable. Just bent to the point where it makes balancing them tedious and the car rides a bit bumpy.

This is going to happen to practically every car and every wheel over time, some more so then others. Every car on the road today that has some miles on it is riding on somewhat bent wheels.

I have a set of wheels that are 18x8.5 +45mm offset.

I would like to use 235/40/18 tires.

After looking at the chart by Wret, I see that I should have alright clearance, but it may be getting a little close to the knuckle. He also said at the top that +40mm seems to be about the sweet spot.

With that said, should I use a 5mm wheel spacer to move them out just a little bit?

GO 255/35/18s

moar tire = moar traction!

I have 17s but i run a 255/40/17 on a 17x8.5 +30

i think you would clear a 255, you may need a 3mm spacer worst case, but you can fit a 245/40/18 no problem

i run 275/40/17 Nitto NT05Rs wiht a 3mm spacer up front for drag racing
