I used goof off to get my badges off on the bumper..I was a little weiry but it worked FAST and I quickly followed it with soap and water and then some wax:)

I was also going to suggest Goof Off.

If you want, you can try on a small area to pull off a part of the decal and with the residue that's left take some rubbing alcohol and a lil elbow grease and see if that won't take it right off for ya. :thumb:

I Just took off the X in GSX. First I took a razor blade and made a diagonal cut so as to not cut the S. Then I took Goo-Be-Gone with a rag to the X. Then when one of the corners started to come up I gently pulled it will still applying the Goo-Be-Gone. Came out perfect so I can get a laugh when people think its a GS...from the back that is:sneaky:.

All of my stickers wont peel they come of in little flakes and i have to use my nails on all of them i honestly think there is a better way cause i am gonna be here for 2 days getting the all the stickers off the car

That's because they're either old, brittle, or cold. Did you use a hair dryer yet? The warmer the sticker is, the more pliable it gets.

look on jegs.com, they have plastic razor blades, its like 8 bucks for 25, they are double sided, so really 50. but they dont damage paint

Another method that i used a couple weeks ago was windex and an windshield ice scrapper.

+1 Windex has always worked its "magic" for me.

I used a remover called "Sticker Shock", found it at autozone. It comes in a spray can like wd40, with a little red tube. Makes removing the glue alot easier.

I used a bug and tar remover to get rid of the glue. It worked good and was pretty quick. The stickers came off easy for me though, I only had trouble with the glue.

When I bought my GSX, it had some lame political stickers on it and I just used brakleen and a soft cloth to peel off the stickers. They were about 3 years old at the time so they were brittle and old but it was a nice warm day and the sun cooked the bumper so a hairdryer might help the brittleness. But I just rubbed and sprayed as the sticky gunk came off.

For paint surfaces, just heat the sticker with a hair dryer and use dental floss to peel them off. If dental floss is good enough for your teeth, it'll be gentle on metal. Good luck.

This took me like a total of 5 minutes to do. I used the hair dryer method with Goof Off, and an ice scraper. I held the dryer to the Mitsubishi for 1 minute. Took another minute to scrape it off. 2 minutes of Goof Off with a towel and a tiny drop of elbow grease. The last minute was standing back and admiring the easiness of it.

When I bought my 2G TSi FWD it had dealership stickers on the bottom of the rear bumper. I cleaned it up with soap and water, got it dry, then I used a razor to get the edges peeled up a bit and kept sliding the razor blade behind it as I pulled on the sticker by hand. Once it was off I used Goo Gone and wiped it clean. That way was kind of risky though, one slip of the razor and ## bumper gets scraped.

I tried peeling the stickers off my car and it removed paint underneath it :barf: At this point I have no real tools, maybe I can source a hair dryer from a neighbor chick, but that's about it.

Help?

How much more help could you hope for than this thread? If your stickers were put on a re-paint, they may be bonded to the paint better than the paint's bonded to the car.

Hit up a flea market, yard sale, or thrift shop for a $2 hair dryer. But it doesn't sound like it'll help.

I used a blow dryer to heat up the "gst" and "Mitsubishi" stickers. Then I used goo gone and cleaned up the left over residue. Then I used a credit card and got the "eclipse" badge from the center.
