yea i really like those tail lights painted (altezzas).... i would really love to take those altezzas like he did and paint everything silver to match my car except for the 3 circles... i thin that would look great!

I own a 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I love the look of the Nissan Skyline Taillights, and I want to install them on my car. I know its not easy, but whats the best and possibly simplest way to go about doing this? Im not a total newb, Ive installed an intake and exhaust, but I want to change the taillights. Is there a particular model of the Skyline taillights that would be easier? Like the R33s? They seem more horizontal like the stock 92 eclipses'. Or is there a alternative that looks like the Skyline lights but installs easier?

Please help! Thanks!

Honestly if you have to ask how to do something like this that tells me that you would not be able to do it. Because it will take a ton of fabrication and still may not look right when your done because you would more than likely have them going into the rear bumper cover because i am pretty sure they are taller than stock ones. Just go get ya some stickers cut to cover yours to make them look like two circles.....LOL

Well if I were to buy a set of skyline lights, would a body shop install them? And for how much do ya think? If I were to do this, which ones would be best? R32,R33,R34?

These are your first posts?

Welcome to tuners! ;)

As noted- call a body shop. If your asking how, there is a 100% chance it wont look good if you do it yourself. Bodywork is an artform.

Something like this...

Don't ask me where I got this from, it's been sitting in one of my picture folders for a while, so I don't know the web address

Thats about $5000 in body work id guess if i had to spit a price out. Over and above the price of parts.

You have a DSM, why make it look like a Honduh?

Same as if you have a Window Mobile phone, and put an iPhone theme on it....

Just my .02.

I would have to agree with most everyone else and say that if you're asking then its prob over your head at this point in time. And for the money it would cost to have it done right you could have a clean looking car in the 11's. Good luck with it

It will take a lot of fabrication like the others have said. I would say your cheapest bet is to find another car with circular tail lights that look similar to the skyline's, and make a custom fabricated housing that bolts into the stock location and is the stock size. If you can get something to bolt in there and fit like stock, you should be able to throw the circular lights in the housing. It wont look exactly like R32+ tails, but it will do the job.

I think if it's done right it would look awesome. if you do it let me know i'v been looking for the right skyline lights for about a year

I wonder how much weight they added with all that crap on the car?

Why are you worried about weight now? That is confusing. It's already a heavy car, and since you want to invest money into the looks, just don't worry about anything else.

With the amount of money you will invest in taillights like these, you could have a 11 second car.

my buddy did this to his honda del sol before he sold it. his dad new the guy who owed the bodyshop they had been freinds since they were kids and it still cost him $2000 in labor alone thats not counting all the parts. i didnt think it was worth it when he did it. take the money and put it in your motor.:thumb:

give this cardomain page a browse, he did corvette tails.
That's some classy "Ricer" getup on that '91 with the 4G37

He definitely put some time and money in that vehicle

..............and that 4G37 is turboed.

He could have got some stock plug wire clips that attached to that chrome plated head cover to dress up the plug wires so they wouldn't have to lay there looking so "gangly" looking.

If you're gonna dress up the car like that, make sure that everything looks neat and orderly
