LOL I've been waiting for you LOL. It will be much brighter... Nothing is mounted inside... so the light strip is probably upside down... when I get a chance, either tomorrow afternoon or the day after, I'm going to make an angled mount, so the LED's point towards the reflective point, directly behind the ECLIPSE letters, making them light up brighter. I'm also going to temp glue the led's directly behind the letters, to see how they look...

Please take a pic of that LED strip behind the "ECLIPSE" lettering and how it is wired up.

You mean how it is now? Or when I get the perfect light distribution?

As for wireing, you can wire it into anything you want. I'm going to wire Curtis's into the Accessories switch. Pontiacs wired thiers into the Accessories Switch, so it would come on when you turned the key to Acc, or ON.

Another thing you could do, is get two LED Strips... have one setup just for glow, and wire it into the Parking Lights, so when you turn on your lights, it will light up. Then mount another LED strip directly behind the ECLIPSE letters, and wire that one into your Brake lights, that way when you hit the brakes, it will get brighter, as a 3rd Brake Light.

My center light is still under debate. But I know I'm going to use a clear lens from an Altezza tail light, I'm going to have 7 multi colored LED Clusters, one behind each letter wired into a controller very similar to Dave's lights. So I can change the color and have them dance.

Also when I do mine, I'm going to use the new ECLIPSE letters from the 4g eclipse. And off to the bottom right, the Porsche TURBO Badge found at Autozone... I'm going to have the TURBO blocked off from the rest of the light, so it can light up a seperate color.

Ok, just redid it all... In this picture below, I redid the aluminum foil because it was too chrome'ish... You need something that will spread light... not take it in as a full mirror image. So after this picture, I painted the inside white... since white seems to transfer quite well, and it is alot brighter.

I did, if you look further up. I only used one as you can see... I'm going to order a few of them to do some other custom tail light things....

It should only be about two inches shorter then your center tail light, since they are soo flexible, I'd order one of the big ones... trust me on this... and wrap it around the inside very well... ... doing it that way will insure maximum brightness... I wish I ordered a bigger one... I just wasn't sure how flexible they would be.

You gotta make sure you heat it up properly! use a metal pan, lay it down on the bolts... and heat it up... throw it in for like 10 minutes on 200 degrees, and then start taking it apart... I did crack mine, but its in an area that is not visible.

On Curt's Spyder. I'm going to redo it, for some reason on his car its a lot dimmer then when it was on mine. I'm also going to add the 3rd Brake Light inside it.

We washed the car with a scrub brush, and we didn't go over it with clear coat yet... to seal the letters in... And it got damaged. So I'm just going to wet sand this piece, re clear it and use it as my peice and make curtis another black panel. But with the right paints and no half ass'ing it. I'm going to sandblast it to make sure its sanded down enough and proper in the cracks so the paint will stick better... but I don't know if I should let the paint dry before pulling the ECLIPSE letters off, or after. Then were going to clear coat it.

Also this time were going to sand blast the back side to get the paint off, it should make things glow much better, especially for the 3rd brake light

So are the 2G. Read the first posts. The center peices are painted silver on the insides. To get them to be clear, you gotta take the center apart, and sand the paint off the backside. To do it right, I'm going to sandblast the paint off, cause the area needed to be sanded is bumpy, so its kinda hard to get all the paint.

so if your going to do this, make sure your prep work is done right. The piece in the pictures I did half ass. When we scrubbed the piece down to wash the car, some paint chipped off. So I'm going to redo it. Since its going on a Spyder, were doing it to say SPYDER on the back side.
