Thanks. I will try that tomorrow. Scratching is not a problem. It is in the middle of a wet sand for paint.

but it worked.
It will work just as well on the front as the rear.If i got one of these sticker antennas could i still get a good reception if i mounted it on the front windshield? I wanna do it this way just because it is more convenient to run the wire to the HU from the front as opposed to the back.
FWIW I shaved my antenna and have it routed on the inside of the rear quarter panel and still get FM reception on the rare occasion I ever decide to use it. I'm not sure if it'll pick up the weaker signals, but it works for the ones I ever listen to.

XM FTW. I shaved my antennae and haven't tuned into FM in at least 2 years
Where can i get a powerd antenna for real cheap or one of those very short antennas.
I just noticed that my back windows has a very small antenna on it, WTF i wonder what it is for?
Does anyone else have this on their window also?
I could not get the antenna out of the base or the base to come out so I took an angle grinder and cut the base nut that holds it together off. Then ripped it out, and slapped on some bondo. Still needs to be painted though.
