The antenna cable is the thick, black, double-shielded one. The blue is the control to the motor from the radio. Others are to power the motor, when present. Time to be getting a shop manual.

yeah ik i gotta order that this weekend when i order the stuff to fill the holes, i took that off last night along with my spoiler... im going spoilerless untill i get a turbo style thank you all for your help

oh one more quick question did you guys just glue the mesh on under the holes for the bondo?

Well i filled it in with foam from the bottom and bondo the top, if you saw it you would never know
there was one there.

And again....why dont you just do it right and weld in a metal filler plate? I couldnt sleep at night knowing there was "bondo" filling in a hole on my car.

I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say, maybe not everyone has a welder or access to one. If you really lose sleep over knowing your car has bondo on it, you really need to re-prioritize. These are just cars; old, cheap ones at that. Not knocking them, because I love them, but don't kid yourself, this isn't an exotic car. I would feel just fine bondo-ing that hole... actually, when I take mine off in a couple weeks, that's exactly what I'm going to do...

I'm sure that will look really good... and last about a week. do yourself a favor cut a piece of metal and pay someone $5 to weld it in.

I don't have a welder, nor can I weld worth a flip. But labor for welding is cheap, I pay a guy to weld for me all the time. And no my car isnt "exotic" in any way, but why should that matter? I don't care if I'm working on my Spyder, my SRT4 or my '92 Plymouth Colt Vista which has a blue book value of $1000....I'm still going to do it right regardless. Why even bother trying to make an improvement on your car if your just going to do a crappy job of it?

I remove the antenna, I am probably not gonna be able to do a fulll removal, shave and
paint until another year at least.. My question is does anyone know the thread size of the
antenna so I could just pick up a screw of some sort from home depot to put in for the
meantime so water doesnt get in... or if you guys have a better idea..

What would be so hard about welding it closed then grinding it smooth and throwing some primer on it followed by a trip to the paint store and have them mix up a rattle can of matching paint? You know you can have an automotive paint store mix up matching paint in a rattle can, right? An hour long job at the most.

yeah, thats the thing i dont like the long thing sticking up thats why im choosing to do this.

thought of it, too much work. I was thinking its easier to just get a screw of the same thread and put it in there. doesnt bother me like that. thanks though!

been thinking about the short ones.. so as of right now im still in question with doing that.

I used a plastic plug from Lowes. Looks good enough although it's not a completely weather tight seal. I don't drive my car in the rain though so I don't care.

Do you still use your radio? I feel like I have poor reception with the antenna, I couldn't imagine without. I have been thinking about just mounting some kind of antennae on the inside of the rear glass.

I plan on removing my antenna, wiper arm, and washer nozzle. I will just plug it with rubber grommets. My friend did this with his 1g awhile back and had no problems. Just make sure the grommet diameter is a bit bigger than the hole. I was going to get one approx. 1/16" larger. This way it stays in there snug. This way it is not a permanent switch. I hate body work.

If you use a bolt just use some RTV to help seal it and then when it dries cut/pull any excess off that's showing, that should keep any water from getting there there.

My car hasn't been operational since I removed the antenna. I do still plan on using the radio though. I'm not sure if it will work or not now. If it doesn't work no big deal, I'll just get one of those "hidden" antennas at some point.

Don't know what you are going to end up doing but I just unscrewed my antenna then hack sawed off lik an 1 away from the the threads (right where it gets smaller). Then just painted the thing black since the paint was coming off already. Most people don't notice it and no one say's anything about it since it looks like the small antennas you can buy.
