i just let my car sit out in the sun with the sun directly hitting the decals and the came right off

razor blade for me, But the car was being painted in a week. they came off fine though

When i did mine i used dental floss and hooked it around a corner of one of the letters and and just moved it back and forth pulling behind the entire letter. It makes cleaning the rest of the glue off much easier.

i used dental floss , hair dryer, and goof-off

thanks guys for the suggestions...where do i get good gone or good off...ive seen the 3m stuff...ill have to go buy it....

The motor is out of the car so now is also a good time to do some body work while I am waiting.

What is the best way to remove stickers from the car. I am going for the clean stealthy look and want to get rid of the awd and tsi stickers.

A hair dryer and a razor blade...heat up the decal and slip the blade under a corner to begin a lifting point...keep it warm/hot and the decal SHOULD peel away easliy...finish off with a lil bit of residue remover and you should be good...

there is a post about this in general, called "to badge or debagde" or something like that. might be some tips in there

What really works good for just stickers is bug be gone or sometihng like that. I have used it many times to get all kinds of stickers off. It also works great for that residue left after you take those decals off. Just keep putting it on and rubbing it around until it goes away. It is paint safe so you wont have any problems.

I'm trying to get the stickers off my car, the one's that came factory with it. Does anyone know an easy way? Or another thread asking the same thing? I searched and didn't find one.

do you mean the side strips on the car? im in the process of doing that, i alredy took off all the badging, i just got a razorblade to get underneath it then pull it off, then used goo-gone or something like that to get the sticky stuff off. i just used a flathead screwdriver to peel that stuff off. just be careful not to scratch the car.

For getting the sticky stuff off, use some OOPS. It comes in a white can in the paint dept. of a hardware store. Wal-Mart has it. It's clear-coat safe. I use it to get road film off the car when detailing, etc. Awesome stuff. I debadged my car by taking it to a car wash and getting really close with the sprayer. If you have raised letters and not some cheap ass sticker, just take your time and peel it.

Yeah, I just wasn't sure what would take off the clear coat and what wouldn't. I did scratch off the paint in a couple of places, how did you guys fix that?

Yeah, use the touch up paint and buff it, or use real fine sand paper? The only problem I have with the touch up paint, is that they don't hardly carry the import colors. My last Eclipse was Sorona Red, and I could not find that color anywhere. I ended up trying a Honda color - started with an M.... - but it looked like poop.

Try heating whatever your taking off with a heat gun. A hair dryer will work also. Just don't get it so hot it burns the paint. Then take a piece of string, wire, dentle floss or whatever and use it to pull it off. Swipe the string underneath it. Use a natural adhesive remover. I've heard of GooGone taking clear coat off.

for me to get OEM symbols off i use a tar/bug removed spray and some fishing string(the fishing string idea was stolen from someone on here ) I will see if he noticese :p
