2G Factory Alarm should the horn beep and lights flash?

Hey guys my factory alarm works but when I press the remote lock the doors lock like they should but I don't hear my horn honk to confirm my doors are locked even if I press the remote twice is this possible on the 2g or is there no horn sounds ?? Also when you press the lock are the headlights and rear light sapossed to flash aswell??

my headlights and tails do not flash fwiw....
I assume the horn works?

My horn does not sound when I arm my car. if I press panic the horn sounds but I want the horn to sound when the car is being locked and armed

This factory alarm is new to me when I got the car there was no remote included so I bought one and programmed it I'm not sure how its as posses to work tho, the onlylights that flash when I lock or unlock is the interior lights

That's it as far as Ive ever seen.

Only my interior lights flash as well when I lock the car with the remote. No horn or exterior lights.

That's how it meant to be just the interior lights would flash when you lock/unlock the car..

Figured I'd use this thread to ask if anyone knows the full range to the OEM keyless entry? I found out the hard way my 2g GST has a factory alarm so I got lucky at the junkyard and found a factory fob inside the center console of a a 99 GS. I programmed it to my car and it works but to unlock it, I have to be really close to the car. Where as to lock it, I can be about 20 feet away.
