Around 2005(?) my local area was filled with guys buying up DSM’s and breaking/parting out totally decent cars.
One guy I had met in Marshall, WI had a beautiful Blue 91 GSX 5 speed, just basic cut air can, MBC, gauges, Clutch and 3” exhaust. It had the most pristine black cloth checkered interior; factory sunroof car on turbines that was just a real gem.
Eventually his car broke, it locked up in the middle of the highway. I got the call it was being parted. I showed up and there’s a dumpster just heaping overfilled with that whole interior, headlights, hatch, taillights. Theres glass and mixed hardware everywhere in the driveway where the car tub is cut into 30 pieces with a sawzall.
This harness came from that car, and it was removed with care. It has been following me for 20+ years, kept in dry storage inside a Rubbermaid bin.
This should really be helping a car to run and continue the legacy of that beautiful blue 91 GSX in its own small way.
It has a handful of issues that’ll require your input to correct; but it’s never had an SAFC hacked into it.
The issues I noticed right away are:
1. Coolant temp sensor plug gone, 2 wires
2. Plastic molded deal over inj harness missing.
3. ECU plug bodies, 2 have retainer clip deal broke. Re-pin-able issue.
4. 2 wires on power ECU plug have vampire connectors but not cut.
5. loom has been on a car, heated/cooled/brittle and could use some loom replacing and super 33 tape work.
I could probably go over it closer, but let’s just agree I’m not trying to fool anyone about this being a NOS perfect harness. It’s pretty workable and a still a bit dirty. It’s gotta be better than the Fast and Furious era rats nest that somebody’s looking at.
