Damn that's louder than mine
Sounds NICE!
Never had that happen in any of my Autos. Hilarious. Goal is to experience this on the launch next time! Next pass when I get brave enough and less cowardly will probably be 5200-5500RPM, and gonna try my absolute best to rev it out more than 6K. We'll see though.I finally experienced it. My windshield wipers came on during my 1-2 shift.Never had that happen in any of my Autos. Hilarious. Goal is to experience this on the launch next time!
It's great to see you enjoying the car so much after your hard work. Congratulations for sticking with it.

Clutch is broken in, so I decided to do a baby 0-60 pass.

She's slow AF! But, there's a good reason. Ricer excuses incoming.
1) I am a coward and don't want to just full send this thing on its shakedown run. So I only launched at 4500RPM and like 2lbs of boost. Which immediately bogged and dropped to 0. Lol.
2) I, like said above, am a coward. So I shifted super early at like 5800-6200RPM. I just can't bring myself to rev it out to 7500RPM. Have to work my way up to it.
3) It's still on wastegate pressure.
With all those things considered...I think it went well! The o.g. 0-60 time for this car was 6.5 seconds(that's with a 1ft rollout) so roughly 7.0 seconds true 0-60. That means I've dropped half a second off the "magazine" 0-60 time(6.0 via dragy w/ 1ft rollout), on nothing but wastegate pressure and nowhere near a full send pass.
Also: I only included the "1/8th mile pass" for the 60 foot time so you could see how pathetic the launch was. I let out decently before the end of the run. Worth mentioning as well, this Dragy is an idiot. This road is nowhere near sloping downwards at all, especially not 1.3% grade. I think going over the speed bump before stopping and doing my runs pisses the dragy's incline measurements off.
Final thoughts: I finally experienced it. My windshield wipers came on during my 1-2 shift.Never had that happen in any of my Autos. Hilarious. Goal is to experience this on the launch next time! That's cool to see that you are having fun with your dsmI didn't plan on doing this again so soon, but I couldn't sleep anymore and honestly...just couldn't resist.

I am f***ing STOKED with this. I changed nothing except launching at 5200RPM, and shifting around at least 7K. I'm fairly sure my launch could be harder, but I really don't want to break this 90 22-spline t-case or 2-spider diff, so I'm kind of slipping the clutch a bit. I'm also not just RIPPING it into second gear.
But man. I dropped a full second basically off my original 0-60 time with nothing but a driver improvement. Obviously you can see where I let out way early on the 1/8th mile pass...but it's actually faster and at 5mph less! I think I would've been at like an 8.7ish or 8.6 maybe if I kept in it.
Fun bonus note: These tires at 35lbs actually spin on the launch even with somewhat slipping the clutch. I couldn't believe it! It's not blowing the tires off of it like the Edge does...but that was super cool to experience!
I know it's lame and slow and nowhere near even a moderate 16G build...but I am so happy with this. Wastegate pressure, baby timing map, still room to grow on the shifts/launch. Stoked.
P.S. - this dragy run was in the SAME EXACT SPOT as the previous dragy run. Same lane, everything. This time I let the car settle for like 10 seconds and well..you see the results. Dragys.

Do you have the 4 bolt rear? If you have the 3 bolt rear, IMO most likely you would break it before breaking the t-case or the stock center diff.I really don't want to break this 90 22-spline t-case or 2-spider diff, so I'm kind of slipping the clutch a bit.
That's cool to see that you are having fun with your dsmWhen the car starts running better, that's one of the most joyful moments. I bet you will sleep less and less because you would always think more about next run, next upgrades and modifications

I had been always slipping the clutch a lot at launch for babying the drivetrain components. I had a 22 spline transmission and t-case, stock center diff and 3 bolt rear. Probably more than 100 launches in the track, I finally broke only the 3 bolt rear. I needed to replace the clutch disc more often though.

So happy to see you enjoy that thing

I was in St. Augustine last weekend and went to a Buc’ees for the first time. What a place.Appreciate it!
Don’t suppose you or anyone else is down for a buc’ees meet this weekend sometime?
Somehow glossed over the BucE's meet, I'm down. Usually have some free time on Sundays.

DittoI'm hoping to feel this thrill one day. Super pumped for you!
Stoked!Ditto

20lbs was the magical number when I had my last WRX. That's when I moved into the 3 second range 0-60. At 21lbs I was running 3.84 seconds. My stock replacement clutch was getting exhausted at a very low mileage though. Being in the low 5's is satisfying. Just stay there or maybe high 4's so the car can last a while

I cannot laugh enough at this, considering how this happened. I wasted a good half a second easy or more with the ID-10T behind the wheel error, and the fact I coasted to an easy 8 in the 1/8th just tickles me pink. I ripped 1st to 2nd so hard the wipers came on again. So funny.

. Best I can tell the radio is putting out the proper signals to the right wires, the signal just isn't reaching the speakers. But only on the Driver's Side. The Passenger side front and rear both work great, and honestly sound great. They almost sound good enough to not even need the driver's side, but it's principal.
