It could be, it has the same cast piece sticking from the turbine, but the one you by at the website has a 90 elbow, im not sure if they ever had the option to not have the elbow.

Well I would for a 2.0l, but Im running a 2.3l. Im not looking for a drag car, more auto-x/road racing. I didnt realize this was going to be such a turd. I guess Im glad I found this out before I bolted it up, but now Ive kind of come to a stand still.
 
I got this 1990 Talon and I was trying to find out what type turbo this is. Alot of parts were aftermarket or upgraded so I'm not sure if the turbo is stock or not. It looks to have been removed and replaced since the gaskets all look new. The serial seems to be 49178-01030. Please let me know. Thanks

i have a turbo on my car and the numbers on it are. My turbo is extremely loud and it is way faster than other gst spyders or gst's in general if anyone can help out thanks

The numbers imply it is the factory T25. The only other thing I could think of is upgraded internals to make it a T28, or overactive imagination.
 
did the spyders come turbo?? i thought they only were the 4g64 engines but i might be wrong i never really looked into it
 
yes, i believe 96-99 had spyders available in GS [4G64] and GS-T [4G63T that we all know and love]. i wish they had gsx spyders though :thumb:

this was me on my buddys name would there be a way to tell if it had t28 internals. All that is done to the car is a Greddy SP2 exhaust act stage 2 clutch and pressure plate setup and an intake and from 40mph to 100mpg an lt1 camaro 6spd with inatke long tube headers and and exhaust only pulled maybe a car. The car does make a lot of turbo noice almost to the point of it sounding like a super charger. The wastegate actuator and turbo look new. The actuator still has a sticker on it and the turbo has marker writing on the intake side
 
when i just started modifying my car, i upgraded my t25 to a t28. that just required changing the internals and boring the inlet housing just a bit. The t28 was a bit louder during spool up than the t25 but more importantly also made more power. Sounds to me like you might have a t28.
 
hello, iam wondering how good or bad this turbo i bought is. i bought this turbo off ebay last year from xs power wich i believe was ssautochrome. i never hear good things about this company but its still working for me. so it was a direct bolt on, using there header also (junk). the box says evo3 tdo5 big 16g turbo -ported. i noticed the intake side of the turbo has a funky looking wheel on it its as it it has 2 sets of fins and 1 is just ofset from the other, and the i.d. of the housing is alot bigger then the stock one that came off. i was just wondering if this turbos is a good , okay , or bad setup for me car. also if everything is still stock am i (if its setup right) still running stock boost pressure? im getting ready to install a rebuilt head and get a guage and controller and turn it up to 15 psi. car does seem quite a bit quicker with this turbo, but the old one had like 190k miles on it hahah. thanks for any help
 
I finaly got around to taking the intake pipe off. The reason i'm asking what turbo this is is because I put bus lengths on other gst's with more mods and i run 6.0 gto's through 3rd gear all i have done is in my profile for the spyder. I had posted the numbers on the casing and it'd been identified as a t25 but someone was saying it may have t28 internals?

i didn't even notice the bent fin until you said that. Do you think that would make my turbo whine like a supercharger when it spools. Verry loud whine
