Reassembled my turbo with a genuine Mitsu rebuild kit. Got the center section, exhaust manifold, turbine housing and O2 housing Cerakoted last week. Just waiting on some hardware to arrive and it will all get bolted to the engine. Another big step. Really hoping to do the first start and drive of this car by the end of the year.

2.0, aluminum rod? Do you put lots of street miles? What do you rev to?

Yup, 2.0. It's a dedicated drag car now. Was revving to 9200 on the old steel rods, we'll see on the new setup how it behaves on the 73mm turbo.

Did you lay your girdle on a flat surface and notice upwards or downwards warping? Just curious as I had two that did, quite significantly.
Mine were fine. I've seen a few others with that issue, I think they had a bad batch and offered free replacements.

Finally got around to wiring the Uc-10 dash. So far I'm liking it. Still need to dial in some inputs and make some customizations.

Stripped the head down, removed all plugs etc to flush out all the oil galleries etc and dunked it in my ultrasonic cleaner, first time doing a head and the results were great!

Once that was clean I installed some Kiggly race only springs along with a set of GSC S3 cams and finally bolted it up to the short block, it's getting there!

I would like to see if I can get a different knob for it LOL

Fitted up my 2gb bumper. Need to drill a hole for the bumper exit and take the black paint off the intercooler

Haven't been on here in a while but I've been working on rebuilding my Galant GS-X NA Engine. Its been down 5 years. I finally have the motivation to put it all together. I bought an ultrasonic cleaner and o man that has been a life saver making everything nice and clean.

What size is your ultrasonic cleaner Jason? I want to get one that I can do exactly what you did with a head. :hellyeah:

One of the best shop tools I ever purchased.

It's the 30L model, they're all over ebay under multiple brands.

I use Master STAGES CLEAN 2020 at about 5-10% concentration with distilled water, it has given excellent results. Once it gets dirty I run it through coffee filters and reuse it.
