The head and the top 1.5" of the block will have water in it still. I'm strapping a 73.9mm turbo on it, that's why.Are you making an air cooled setup? Why fill the block?

I can't see these damn Prosport Evo gauges during the day. I took the boost one apart to see if I could (a) alter the polarizer filter axis and/or (b) increase the brightness of the LED backlighting.
There's 9 0603 SMD LEDs arranged in 3x3 for each colour behind an opaque white LCD holder which doubles as a diffuser. 25mA is all the current that separates dimmest to brightness. 25mA.
I dicked about with replacing resistors and even moving to a larger LED with more current.. but I just don't think it's going to work out.
I think it's time to go with something else. I can't believe AEMs are over $300CAD a piece.
AEM is the only other digital gauge not costing more than 10 times it's weight in gold. It's all rather rediculous.AEM is definitely super proud of their stuff. I like my gauges but just as FYI I’ve already had to replace the water temp sensor on the series X water temp gauge and they’re only months old. I replaced it with the 10 year old sensor out of my old AEM water temp gauge and it’s been going strong.
When in doubt spit on itI wrestle a mirror getting back in the housing. What a pain it was to get it snap on a arm inside the housing, I was so frustrated I had to get a drink in a process,

Yes indeed. It is only because of the people on this forum that I am back on the road and in the process of completing the tune to finish things off. Greatful to the shop that carried me for years, but over the last year, ive gone from doing basic maintenance to revamping my entire braking system, suspension and fuel delivery and now tuning with the guidance from people here... Your build thread is one of my favorites that keeps me inspired. 20 years of owning this car and the cruise tune that I took today felt like its the best its ever run despite my rear end sounding like its gonna fall apart from the upper knuckle bushings that i still need to do.After 2 years of building it the car had its first start up this past weekend and I plan to hopefully take it on the first drive this coming weekend. It may have been just me in my garage with some basic tools and no idea what I had gotten myself into but its the people in this community and people at my work willing to help that made the build happen. Thank you to everyone for being so awesome and supportive. This forum has the best community and willingness to help I've ever seen and has made me want to finish the build even more than just for the personal gain it originated with. Hopefully the drive goes as smoothly as the start up but we will see. Some honorable mentions that were a huge help

And many more that I'm probably forgetting right now + the people at work
