Got any links to share, Gary? The threaded portion on the 90 housing that the filter threads on to is cast into / is a part of the housing so I'm not sure how that would happen. :hmm:
I'm talking sticking out beyond the fender, not wheel gap. His car is lowered so naturally it has less wheel gap. Look at how far it's sticking out though. With 2" of wheel gap on stock suspension that will disappear after the first bump in the...
Did you look at the pictures I posted? You'll be pulling 2" out of the fenders and quarters to clear that. He has a huge shim on the bottom of the front fenders to get it where they need to be. Watch your stock suspension cycle when you hit bumps...
Yea you're not going to rub the wheel well, it's going to rub the outside of the fender. Unless you have aftermarket stiff suspension at factory height, the factory suspension cycles way too far to even consider that fitting without a pretty...
That combo will not even fit inside the wheel well. You will likely hit the fenders unless changes are made.
Why so wide anyway? Lots of good choices unless you're building a race car. Like a literal race car.
Wix 57092 or comparable is the evo filter. It's shorter for better down pipe clearance but large in surface area than the 1g filter. They tend to be more readily available too around me.
What part number did they give you? Sounds like they gave you the wrong ones. I've replaced quite a few of these with various brands and all of them have come with brackets like your originals.
39 teeth from the mark above the 9 o clock position on the exhaust cam to the 3 o clock position on the intake cam this is an easy check to make sure you have cam timing set where it needs to be for those not comfortable with the gear alignment...
Haha, I was just playing. I still help with tunes when I can but there are too many setups out there that are falling apart or the owners have suspended licenses/no registration, etc. so I've only been doing remote tunes so I don't have to ride...
If you just bought the car and are trying to get it back home (Abilene) then I don't recommend that you ask someone to WOT tune it in our summer heat right before your 800 mile drive, especially on a car you have no idea the condition of and may...
I have no audio in the video but it looks like it just needs pushed into place. The 2g uses the same axle position as a 1g trans, I've used both between 6 bolt swaps and AWD swaps. Don't forget the spacer for the second bolt on the block since...
Assuming its a GS coupe it should be easy, just follow this guide; https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/4g63-swapped-eagle-talon.496614/page-5#post-153855908All you need to do is cut off the front clip at the firewall and weld your GST front clip on.
Had some free time at work today so I stripped down a stock harness and made it standalone. I planned to reuse the stock summit harness and just repin it to a 1g pinout and add whatever wiring needed added in. Studying some of the pinouts and it...
Sounds like its out of time since that's where you were last at. Mechanical timing or very lean idle will both cause lumpy idle. I'd venture to guess timing is off a tooth.
Yes link does log and I'd definitely recommend getting somewhat familiar with it so you don't need to rely on a shop for simple diagnostics. It's user friendly and taking a log/posting it here will probably get you a much better knowledge base to...
